You'll join the Data Design & Provisioning team, part of the Data Management Services (DMS) department, supporting our Canadian and US entities. Master Group is transitioning from a centralized to a federated data and analytics operating model. The Analyst – Provisioning and Access Control is an operational role responsible for executing data access requests and enforcing access governance rules and policies across the organization's reporting and data platforms.
This role combines steady operational execution with ongoing foundation-building: the person will execute day-to-day access requests while also helping build and continuously improve the underlying procedures, workflows, and documentation.
This role applies the data policies and classification rules defined by the Data Governance & Practices team and the access model defined by the Data Design team. When a request is ambiguous, involves sensitive data, or doesn't clearly match an approved pattern, this role escalates to the Data Governance & Practices team before taking any action.

What You Will Accomplish With Us
Access Provisioning Operations
- Execute access requests - grant, modify, and revoke - across data platforms & analytics/reporting tools
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of access in line with documented procedures, policies and classifications
- Source-system access (e.g., Infor SXe, Infor CSD) is out of scope for this role at this time
Access Control & Governance Enforcement
- Apply the access model defined by the Data Design team and the data policies and classification rules defined by the Data Governance & Practices team (this role does not design either)
- Coordinate with the relevant Data Owner to confirm approval on access requests, as Data Owners are identified for each data domain
- Action requests directly when they clearly match a documented, pre-approved pattern
- Escalate to the Data Governance & Practices team before acting on any request that is ambiguous, involves a data classification judgment call (e.g., PII), or does not match a documented pattern - regardless of which way the request appears to lean
- Deny requests that fail procedural checks (e.g., missing approval, no matching approved pattern) and direct the requestor to the correct process
Process & Workflow Development
- Help build and continuously refine the end-to-end access request process, including intake forms, ticketing workflow, and escalation triggers
- Maintain clear documentation of access and provisioning procedures
- Identify and propose access categories that can move to self-service or pre-approved-by-role status over time, reducing the volume requiring manual review
- Contribute to standing up an access audit trail, and - in partnership with the Senior Analyst – Data Design and IT - Power BI access monitoring using available platform tools
Monitoring & User Support
- Monitor access logs and provisioning activity; proactively identify and flag anomalies or issues
- Resolve access-related incidents, coordinating with IT and Data Engineering when technical remediation is needed
- Maintain an audit trail of access changes for traceability
- Support users with guidance on how to request and use data access
What You Bring To Our Team
- 3–5 years of experience in data operations, IT access management, or a data governance-adjacent role
- Experience with data platforms (e.g., SQL Server or equivalent) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Familiarity with access management processes and role-based access concepts
- Strong attention to detail and process discipline
- Bilingual (English/French) required for Québec-based candidates; English required for candidates based elsewhere in Canada or the United States
Compensation Information
Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
Supplemental Pay Types Include: Annual bonus
