We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) equipment and solutions across our full product portfolio - including commercial rooftop units, refrigeration equipment and supplies, hydronics, and residential systems - to clients across the sectors we serve. The role involves assessing customer needs, recommending appropriate products, and providing technical support to ensure optimal system performance. The candidate that will join this team will be responsible for representing The Master Group within the Grater Vancouver Area.
What You Will Accomplish With Us
- Identify and develop relationships with potential clients across various sectors to promote our full range of HVAC-R equipment and services, including commercial rooftops, refrigeration equipment and supplies, hydronics, and residential systems.
- Analyze client requirements and propose suitable HVAC-R equipment/solutions aligned with their needs, across commercial, refrigeration, hydronic, and residential applications.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to clients.
- Work as part of the sales team to assist and collaborate in growth across all our core product lines.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to close deals effectively.
- Visit construction sites to evaluate product applications and deal with site issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand the customer base and foster relationships.
- Attend regular product training sessions.
What You Bring To Our Team
- Previous experience in the HVAC-R industry.
- Strong understanding of HVAC-R systems, components, and their applications - commercial rooftops, refrigeration, hydronics, and residential - is an asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Required to travel to meet clients and attend events.
- Valid passport and driver's license for travel within Canada and USA for training at manufacturers' facilities.
Compensation Information
Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 annually
Supplemental Pay Types Include: commissions; annual bonus
The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience, in compliance with applicable regulations.
