Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Sales Engineer role based in Toronto, ON. The Technical Sales Engineer will engage with customers to understand their testing requirements, recommend appropriate equipment solutions, and prepare quotations and proposals. Daily responsibilities include visit potential customers, product demonstrations, technical consultations, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and after-sales support. The role also involves responding to technical inquiries, assisting with troubleshooting, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. The successful candidate will contribute to sales growth while ensuring customers receive reliable guidance on construction materials testing equipment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, including prospecting, opportunity management, and closing.
- Candidates should possess Sales Engineering skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical equipment solutions.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support skills, including troubleshooting, product guidance, and customer follow-up.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and documentation.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, science, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience with construction materials testing equipment or related laboratory/industrial products is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and standards, and to learn new products quickly.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused, collaborative approach.
- Having G Driver License and willingness to travel
