Hiring Math Instructors part time/Full Time

Role Description Math Instructors at Mathnasium – The Math Learning Center guide students through personalized math instruction using the Mathnasium Method™ and materials. Instructors assess student understanding, explain concepts clearly, and support learners as they work through practice problems and activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include facilitating sessions, monitoring progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a positive, focused learning environment. This is an on-site role located in Oakville, ON, with part-time and full-time opportunities available, requiring consistent availability during after-school hours and some weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong skills and understanding in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
• Experience as a Qualified Teacher or instructor with effective Lesson Planning abilities.
• Background in Curriculum Development or designing educational materials and learning activities.
• Clear, patient communication skills and the ability to explain math concepts to a wide range of ages and skill levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a learning center environment and to engage students positively.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience, especially in math, is an asset.
• Post-secondary coursework or degree in mathematics, education, or a related field is preferred.
• Availability to work on-site in Oakville, ON during after-school, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
