Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and maintaining optimal inventory levels for printed circuit board materials and related equipment. The Purchasing Manager will analyze demand and purchasing trends, coordinate with sales, operations, and logistics to meet just-in-time requirements, and ensure timely delivery to Rapid Response Centers. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating vendor performance, issuing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports. The role also involves continuous improvement of procurement processes, cost reduction initiatives, and adherence to quality and compliance standards aligned with Matrix’s commitment to dependable service.
Qualifications

Strong purchasing and procurement skills, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
Experience with inventory management, demand planning, and just-in-time (JIT) supply strategies.
Proficiency in using ERP or purchasing systems, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools.
Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics coordination, and import processes.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in electronics, manufacturing, or the printed circuit board industry is an asset.
Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
