Original job description
Matrix | Osoyoos, BC
In person | Potential for school-friendly hours
A friendly voice. An organized mind. A little curiosity about what comes next.
We’re looking for someone local to join our Osoyoos office and take care of an important part of our business: answering the phones and making sure people reach the right person.
We’ll be upfront. This role starts with the basics. Answering calls, welcoming visitors and helping with everyday office tasks. Some days will be quiet. Being reliable, friendly and happy to handle those responsibilities consistently matters.
But we’d also love to find someone who brings a few other interests to the table.
Maybe you enjoy social media and creating content. Maybe you’re great at organizing people and details. Or maybe you’d like to learn the business and develop the skills to support our executives. There’s room for this role to grow around the right person’s strengths.
What you’ll do
- Answer incoming calls, direct callers and take accurate messages.
- Welcome visitors and help them find who they need.
- Keep reception organized and presentable.
- Help with emails, filing, data entry and general office tasks.
- As your skills and the role develop, potentially help with social media, scheduling and executive support.
What you bring
- A friendly, professional phone manner.
- We need to know the phones are covered.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Comfort with computers, email and everyday office software.
- The ability to work independently and find useful things to do during quieter periods.
- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn.
Reception or administration experience is welcome. Social media skills or executive assistant experience would be an asset, but we’re also interested in someone with the right attitude who wants to develop those skills.
A schedule that could fit your life
Depending on the workload, we’re exploring hours around 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. This could work well for someone balancing school drop-offs and pickups, or anyone looking for a shorter, consistent workday.
The final schedule will be confirmed through the hiring process.
