Role Description The Director Contract Administration is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mississauga, ON, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts for industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects across Canada. The Director provides leadership to the contract administration team, establishes and maintains contract policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and client obligations. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and senior leadership on contract strategy, monitoring contractual risks and performance such as submittal management and change order pricing, RFIs/SIs/Issues, scheduling strategy, managing government and private-sector contracting requirements, and supporting bid and proposal activities. The role also involves continuous improvement of contract management processes, training team members, and contributing to overall project profitability and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

Strong technical skills and experience especially in reviewing vendor submittals, estimates, or technical documentation and engineering/design drawings, supervisory and leadership skills with experience managing contract administration or project support teams.
Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and interpreting, and properly executing complex construction agreements.
Advanced analytical skills for assessing contractual risk, pricing, terms, and compliance across multiple projects.
Experience with CCDC contracts, including understanding of procurement best practices and and regulatory frameworks.
Background in construction, engineering, or related industries; familiarity with ICI and pharmaceutical or industrial projects is an asset.
Bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, business, construction management, or a related field; advanced education or professional certifications are an advantage
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with contract management software and MS Office tools.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site presence in Mississauga, ON, with remote work while meeting business and project needs.
