Job Title - Java backend Developer
Location - Montreal , QC
Job Description -
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging systems, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, database performance, and system scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices for enterprise-scale applications.
- Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize queries, indexes, and data access.
- Develop and integrate event-driven and asynchronous systems u
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Generics, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Big-O complexity.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with database indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, caching, and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
