Tasks
- Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports
- Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
- Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools
- Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size

Responsibilities
Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipes, selecting, measuring, cutting, reaming, threading, and bending pipes as needed. Connect piping to water mains and related equipment, install supports and fire protection equipment, and join pipe sections using soldering or welding equipment.
Requirements
Requires a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience and 3 to less than 5 years of experience. Candidates need a valid driver's licence and must be willing to travel; the work is physically demanding and may involve heights, wet or damp conditions, and noise.
