Do you have experience in dispatching Winnipeg couriers? Do you enjoy a fast paced work environment? This role might be for you! We’re looking for a dispatcher to join our Winnipeg main branch team, focusing on dispatching courier sized vehicles.
You will ensure effective, accurate, and cost efficient pick-up and delivery service to/from the Winnipeg Maxim facilities, customers, suppliers, and other branch locations. You will also assist Shipper Receivers with picking parts and associated paperwork to ensure customer satisfaction and controlled expenses.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This is a unionized environment.

Do you have experience in dispatching Winnipeg couriers? Do you enjoy a fast paced work environment? This role might be for you! We’re looking for a dispatcher to join our Winnipeg main branch team, focusing on dispatching courier sized vehicles.
You will ensure effective, accurate, and cost efficient pick-up and delivery service to/from the Winnipeg Maxim facilities, customers, suppliers, and other branch locations. You will also assist Shipper Receivers with picking parts and associated paperwork to ensure customer satisfaction and controlled expenses.

Responsibilities
- Prepare delivery and pick-up information for drivers and organizing material for pick up
- Recording freight information and send to Accounts Payable
- Delegates order fulfillment tasks to Shipper Receivers and Order Pickers
- Aids other warehouse staff to pick orders when needed and creates invoices
- Creates paperwork for parts shipped to customers i.e. waybills
- Receives product as required
- Act as primary point of contact for customers; answers internal and external inquiries regarding shipments and driver runs
- Tracks missing or delayed shipments
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a fast paced work environment
- Knowledge of Winnipeg courier routes
- City courier dispatch experience in a retail environment requiring constant scheduling changes
- Experience in a parts department dispatch function preferred
- Experience in a warehouse, picking and assembling orders preferred
- Knowledge of Heavy-duty truck and trailer parts an asset
- Team player with strong commitment to the customer
- Professional phone skills; Able to communicate effectively with varying levels of people
- Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines
- Makes timely, accurate decisions
- Ability to work with interruptions and to work independently with little supervision
- Basic computer skills with ability to learn in-house systems

Responsibilities
Coordinate courier vehicle pickups and deliveries, prepare driver and shipment paperwork, record freight information, and track missing or delayed shipments. Support warehouse order picking and fulfillment, prepare invoices and waybills, receive products, and respond to customer and staff shipment inquiries.
Requirements
Applicants should have 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced work environment, knowledge of Winnipeg courier routes, and city courier dispatch experience involving frequent schedule changes. Warehouse or parts dispatch experience and heavy-duty truck and trailer parts knowledge are assets; strong customer communication, organization, decision-making, and basic computer skills are also expected.
