Geotechnical Engineer to join a major tunnelling project in
Vancouver.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Geotechnical Engineer with strong
rock mapping and
tunnellingexperience. The successful candidate will be based on-site and must be comfortable working 12-hour shifts within the tunnel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed rock and geological mapping in the tunnel
- Monitor ground and geological conditions and report findings
- Provide geotechnical input and support to the construction team
- Maintain accurate field data and technical reports
- Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of relevant geotechnical experience, ideally on tunnelling or underground projects
- Proven experience in rock mapping and tunnel geology
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in underground environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
