We’re passionate storytellers for our brands and we’re looking for someone who can help us make eye-popping, jaw-dropping, heart-stopping content, whether they’re moving, still, animated, CGI’d, AI’d or even hand drawn. We love to collaborate with the unconventional creative pros who, above all else, are passionate makers and culture shakers.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for a Content Manager who is social-native, curious and excited to learn. You’re plugged into TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and culture, and understand what makes content feel relevant and native to social.

You’ll work alongside Content Managers, Content Creators, Social Strategists and Creatives to develop and deliver social content for some of the world’s biggest brands. You’ll contribute to ideas, support production and help identify opportunities for brands to show up in culture.

You’ll also bring basic hands-on content creation skills, from shooting on an iPhone to editing short-form video and creating simple graphics using tools like Adobe Creative Suite. Most importantly, you’re collaborative, organized and eager to keep learning.

You don’t need to know everything yet. We’re looking for someone with strong social instincts, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for making things.

SKILLS:

Contribute to social-first content ideas across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Meta
Stay connected to culture, trends, creators and online conversations to help identify relevant content opportunities
Support the development of social content briefs, calendars and ideas
Help translate larger campaign ideas into platform-native social content
Write and develop social copy, captions and basic content concepts
Understand how content should be adapted for different platforms, audiences and formats
Support community engagement and identify opportunities for brands to participate in relevant conversations
Help monitor social content performance and identify basic insights and learnings
Support basic content creation, including photography, video, simple graphics and short-form edits
Basic Adobe Creative Suite skills such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro or After Effects

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the development of relevant, engaging and objective-driven social content for McCann clients
Work with Content Managers and Content Creators to bring social content ideas to life
Contribute to content calendars, briefs and presentations
Research trends, creators, cultural moments and platform behaviours to help inform content ideas
Assist with reactive social opportunities and quick-turnaround content
Support social shoots and content production, including pre-production, production and post-production tasks
Capture and edit basic social content when required, using mobile devices or available production equipment
Help organize content assets and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time
Support community management by monitoring comments, conversations and relevant audience interactions
Stay current on emerging social platforms, formats and trends and bring relevant ideas to the team

REQUIREMENTS:

0–2 years of experience in advertising, social, content, marketing or a creative environment
Internship, co-op, freelance or personal content experience is considered an asset
Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other social platforms
Strong social instincts and a genuine interest in internet culture, trends and creators
Basic content creation abilities across photography, video, editing and/or graphic design
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Examples of content, social work or creative projects through a portfolio, personal account, school work or other relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working collaboratively and receiving feedback
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Curious, proactive and eager to learn
Basic knowledge of social publishing, community management or creative tools is an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.
