The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences at McGill University invites applications for a part-time Research Assistant 2 position to join the interdisciplinary research program led by Dr. Pascaline Kengne Talla.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Coordinate research projects and support day-to-day project operations;
- Contribute to research protocols, ethics submissions, grant applications, and progress reports;
- Coordinate meetings, project timelines, deliverables, and communications with collaborators and partners;
- Support quantitative and qualitative data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation;
- Assist with literature reviews and knowledge syntheses;
- Contribute to the preparation of peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference presentations, reports, and knowledge mobilization products;
- Support graduate and undergraduate trainees involved in research projects; and
- Participate actively in research team meetings and collaborative activities.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, health services research, population health, social sciences, implementation science, dentistry, or a related field;
- Experience coordinating research projects;
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills;
- Strong scientific writing skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams; and
- Experience with quantitative research methods and statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SAS, SPSS);
- Experience with qualitative or mixed-methods research;
- Experience with grant applications and ethics submissions;
- Proficiency in English.
Assets
The following would be considered assets:
- Proficiency in French;
- Knowledge of health equity, population health, oral health, health services research, or implementation science; and
- Experience working with community, healthcare, or policy partners.
