About the Role
McKesson is seeking a Senior Manager, Pharmaceutical Distribution Systems to lead a portfolio of mission-critical applications supporting pharmaceutical distribution operations. This role is responsible for application strategy, modernization, operational excellence, large-scale program delivery, compliance, vendor management, and people leadership.
You will partner with business and technology leaders to ensure our distribution systems remain reliable, compliant, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a technology leader with experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, distribution operations, or enterprise application management.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead a portfolio of enterprise applications supporting pharmaceutical distribution operations.
- Drive application modernization and transformation initiatives.
- Manage large-scale projects and strategic technology programs.
- Oversee application support, operational stability, incident management, and service delivery.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Distribution, Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance, and external vendors.
- Lead manufacturer onboarding initiatives, including integrations, testing, and production readiness.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, IT General Controls (ITGC), security, and audit requirements.
- Manage application roadmaps, backlog prioritization, technical debt reduction, and capacity planning.
- Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and business value realization.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
What You'll Bring
- Experience leading enterprise application portfolios and technology teams.
- Strong background in Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, or Order Management environments.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale technology transformation and modernization programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and operational support services.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management practices.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical, Healthcare Distribution, Retail Distribution, Manufacturing, or Logistics industry experience.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, EDI, or Supply Chain technologies.
- Experience with application modernization, cloud transformation, or digital transformation programs.
- Exposure to IBM iSeries / AS400 environments.
