Position Summary
The Analyst, Enterprise IT VMO plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of McKesson Technology's Vendor Management Office, providing commercially and operationally informed analytical support across vendor governance, invoice/financial management, contract management, performance management, demand forecasting and resource management activities and workstreams. Working closely with Service Area stakeholders, Sr. Vendor Managers, Finance, legal, procurement and third-party vendors, this role ensures VMO processes run with accuracy, accountability and visibility. The VMO Analyst synthesizes complex vendor and financial data into actionable reporting and recommendations that support MT leadership decision-making and drive continuous improvement across McKesson's technology vendor portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Contract Management Administration
- Review and provide comments on statements of work, contract amendments, and other vendor agreements to identify commercial, cost, schedule, performance, and reputational risks and support changes that improve efficiency, supplier performance, and organizational value
- Administer VMO data, processes, tools, platforms and governance activities in partnership with Service Area stakeholders, VMO Sr. Managers and third-party vendors.
- Support quarterly business reviews and recurring vendor governance meetings by preparing vendor scorecards, Power BI dashboards, performance reports, and meeting materials and by maintaining issues, risks, decisions, and action trackers through closure.
- Ensure vendor compliance with contractual obligations, organizational processes, policies and McKesson governance standards.
- Support vendor performance monitoring and reporting against defined KPIs and SLAs; flag deviations and track corrective actions to closure.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of vendor assessments, governance reviews and performance improvement initiatives.
- Review and provide comments on statements of work, contract amendments, letter correspondence and other vendor agreements to identify commercial, cost, schedule, performance, and reputational risks and support changes that improve efficiency, supplier performance, and organizational value.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce weekly and monthly operational reports including KPI dashboards, invoice status and resource demand forecasts for MT leadership.
- Gather, synthesize, and transform vendor and financial data into clear presentations and frameworks that support executive decision-making.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation across VMO-managed portfolios and time horizons.
- Apply financial analytics to identify commercial risks, budget variances, schedule, quality issues - and support the development of recommendations and action plans.
Invoice & Purchasing Management
- Administer end-to-end invoice management processes, including validation, identification of errors, tracking, reconciliation, workflow approvals and routing for timely payment.
- Support purchasing and procurement activities within the VMO, including purchase order creation and vendor agreement administration.
- Identify billing discrepancies and work cross-functionally with Finance, internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve invoice exceptions.
- Maintain accurate records within VMO systems of record (e.g., Field Glass, Ariba, Workday) to ensure data integrity across financial and operational reporting.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with internal teams.
- Serve as a reliable point of coordination for vendor-related inquiries, data requests, and governance activities. Assist with enterprise-related projects, enable data collection and analysis and VMO initiatives as required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of operational, administrative or analytical experience in vendor management, procurement, IT sourcing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated commercial and business acumen, with the ability to analyze vendor, contractual, financial, and operational information, apply sound judgment, and escalate risks or recommend actions as appropriate
- Experience and proficiency in VMS and procurement platforms: experience with Fieldglass, Beeline, Ariba, and/or Workday required. Familiarity with IT or technology vendor environments; understanding of how enterprise technology organizations engage and manage third-party suppliers for services.
- Advanced Proficiency of Microsoft Excel; strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate reporting and presentations across varied audiences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels of leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Social Sciences, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a Vendor Management Office (VMO) or comparable governance function in a large enterprise technology organization.
- Exposure to IT vendor contracts in staffing, managed services, application development and professional service agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment. Demonstrated change management skills with effective communication, stakeholder engagement, risk identification and issue escalation.
- Experience supporting or managing multiple concurrent projects, activities, files and initiatives or vendor engagements.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
