Job Summary

The Sr. Transportation Project Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing McKesson Corporation's transportation network, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining high service levels. This position leverages data analysis and strategic thinking to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions across various transportation modes.

Job Responsibilities

Analyze transportation data, including freight costs, transit times, carrier performance, and delivery metrics, to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings and service enhancements.
Develop and implement transportation strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize logistics operations and achieve corporate objectives.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., supply chain, procurement, operations, sales) to understand transportation needs and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other analytical tools to model scenarios, forecast demand, and optimize routes and loads.
Lead or support transportation-related projects, from initial concept to implementation and post-implementation review.
Act as the central connector between Transportation COE, Regional Transportation, IT, OpEx, Operations, Commercial Operations, Procurement, Finance, Customer Care, carriers, and vendors.
Prepare and present reports on transportation performance, key metrics, and recommended actions to management.
Stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in transportation and logistics.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality within the transportation function.
Support the development and maintenance of transportation budgets and forecasts.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in transportation analysis, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within a large, complex organization.
Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and other data analysis tools.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various levels of the organization and external partners.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of various transportation modes (truckload, LTL, parcel, intermodal) and their associated cost drivers and service characteristics.
Experience with carrier contract negotiation and performance management is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Analyser les données de transport, notamment les coûts de fret, les délais de transit, le rendement des transporteurs et les indicateurs de livraison, afin de dégager les tendances, de repérer les inefficacités et d’identifier les possibilités de réduction des coûts et d’amélioration du service.
Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies, des politiques et des procédures de transport afin d’optimiser les activités logistiques et d’atteindre les objectifs de l’entreprise.
Collaborer avec les parties prenantes internes, notamment les équipes de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, de l’approvisionnement, des opérations et des ventes, afin de comprendre les besoins en matière de transport et d’assurer leur harmonisation avec les objectifs globaux de l’entreprise.
Utiliser les systèmes de gestion du transport (TMS) et d’autres outils analytiques afin de modéliser différents scénarios, de prévoir la demande et d’optimiser les itinéraires et les chargements.
Diriger ou soutenir des projets liés au transport, depuis la conception initiale jusqu’à la mise en œuvre et à l’évaluation après implantation.
Agir à titre de principal point de liaison entre le Centre d’excellence en transport (COE), les équipes régionales de transport, les TI, l’excellence opérationnelle (OpEx), les Opérations, les Opérations commerciales, l’Approvisionnement, les Finances, le Service à la clientèle, ainsi que les transporteurs et les fournisseurs.
Préparer et présenter à la direction des rapports sur le rendement du transport, les principaux indicateurs de performance et les mesures recommandées.
Se tenir au fait des pratiques exemplaires de l’industrie, des avancées technologiques et des changements réglementaires dans les secteurs du transport et de la logistique.
Cerner et mettre en œuvre des améliorations de processus afin d’accroître l’efficacité, de réduire les coûts et d’améliorer la qualité du service au sein de la fonction Transport.
Soutenir l’élaboration et le suivi des budgets et des prévisions liés au transport.

Qualifications requises

Baccalauréat en gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, en logistique, en administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe à forte composante quantitative, ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.
Au moins cinq ans d’expérience en analyse du transport, en logistique ou en gestion des opérations de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, de préférence au sein d’une organisation de grande envergure et complexe.
Expérience démontrée avec les systèmes de gestion du transport (TMS) et les systèmes de planification des ressources de l’entreprise (ERP).
Solides compétences en analyse et en résolution de problèmes, ainsi qu’une capacité à interpréter des données complexes et à les transformer en recommandations et mesures concrètes.
Maîtrise de Microsoft Excel, notamment des fonctions avancées, des tableaux croisés dynamiques et des fonctions de recherche telles que RECHERCHEV (VLOOKUP), ainsi que d’autres outils d’analyse de données.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, et solides compétences interpersonnelles permettant de collaborer efficacement avec différents niveaux de l’organisation ainsi qu’avec des partenaires externes.
Capacité démontrée à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément et à travailler efficacement dans un environnement dynamique où les priorités évoluent rapidement.
Bonne compréhension des différents modes de transport, notamment le chargement complet (TL), le chargement partiel (LTL), la livraison de colis et le transport intermodal, ainsi que de leurs facteurs de coûts et caractéristiques de service respectifs.
Une expérience en négociation de contrats avec les transporteurs et en gestion de leur rendement constitue un atout.
Capacité à travailler de façon autonome ainsi qu’en équipe.
