Our client is a well-established wealth management and advisory firm that partners with individuals, families, and business owners to help them achieve their long-term financial goals. They are seeking a highly engaged and collaborative Financial & Wealth Planner to support the delivery of comprehensive wealth management solutions. Working closely with Advisors and Portfolio Managers, this individual will develop, present, and help implement customized financial plans while providing expertise in tax, retirement, estate, and insurance planning.
Location: Vancouver, BC
Work Arrangement: Fully In-Office
Expected Salary Range: $90,000 - 115,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skillset
Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Financial Planning
- Understand client financial circumstances, goals, and family considerations.
- Prepare and present comprehensive, customized financial plans.
- Analyze tax scenarios and recommend strategies involving registered accounts, income planning, corporate structures, trusts, and charitable giving.
- Prepare and review of personal and corporate tax packages, as well as life & benefits insurance proposals.
Collaboration & Practice Management
- Serve as a financial planning resource within the team for Advisors and Investment Professionals.
- Collaborate on complex client matters involving tax, estate, insurance, and succession planning.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and enhance advisory services.
- Participate in special projects to enhance client service and grow the firm’s wealth management business.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory, insurance, and audit requirements.
- Stay current on industry trends, legislative changes, and financial planning best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in comprehensive financial, tax, and estate planning.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
- LLQP certification or insurance licensing considered a strongly preferred.
- Additional tax, accounting, or estate planning credentials are a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of wealth planning, investment products, insurance solutions, and tax strategies.
- Experience preparing financial plans for individuals, families, and business owners.
- Proficiency with financial planning software and CRM platforms.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business technology tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and client service.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion.
