We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our Structural Analysis department at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This is a 4 month mandate (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in January 2027.

Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

Under the supervision of a senior analyst, the successful candidate will perform structural analyses of space antennas and electronic equipment using the finite element method.

As our Engineering Student, you will:

Responsibilities:

Analyses will include static, dynamic and thermoelastic analyses;
Using commercial software or software developed at MDA, he/she will calculate the safety margins of components;
He/she will size components, identify problems and suggest modifications if necessary;
He/she may be required to generate test procedures and structural analysis or test reports to demonstrate compliance of subsystems.

Experience and skills required:

Completion of 90 Bachelor's degree credits in Mechanical Engineering prior to the start of the internship with a GPA above 3.2 / 4.0;
Demonstrate a sense of initiative.

Desirable skills:

Successfully completed a course in finite element analysis;
Knowledge of Nx software;
Bilingual
