Original job description

Meal Ticket and MarketMan are building the technology that help empower the people that feed our communities. Meal Ticket connects food distributors with the restaurants they serve, making ordering, invoicing, and payments simple for everyone involved. MarketMan gives restaurant operators the tools to manage inventory, purchasing, and costs so they can focus on the food and the guests. Together we cover the whole supply chain, from the distributor's warehouse to the restaurant's back door.

We're growing fast and are a team that live our values: Making our Customer’s Day; Unleashing Your Superpower; Working as One and Making the Impossible Possible. If an organization that moves quickly, solves real problems for real businesses, and cares about doing the work well appeals to you, we'd love to meet you.

The Opportunity

Meal Ticket is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and evolve the TrackMax+ product portfolio, our platform serving the foodservice distribution industry.

This is a high-impact role for a product leader who understands complex B2B workflows, combines strong customer empathy with commercial judgment, and can translate business needs into a clear product strategy and roadmap.

You will own the product lifecycle end to end - from customer discovery and problem definition through prioritization, delivery, launch, and ongoing measurement. Working closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, you will help modernize the TrackMax+ experience, address customer and competitive gaps, improve reporting and data capabilities, and bring differentiated capabilities to market.

You will balance near-term customer needs and platform improvements with longer-term product innovation, ensuring that the team invests in the right opportunities to improve customer outcomes, strengthen retention, and drive growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a scale-up environment, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and takes ownership of turning complex problems into simple, valuable product experiences.

What You Will Do1. Define Product Strategy and Roadmap

Own the TrackMax+ product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog, aligning product investments with Meal Ticket’s business objectives and distributor market opportunities.
Translate company strategy, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and business performance into clear product priorities and measurable outcomes.
Develop a balanced roadmap spanning customer and competitive gaps, reporting and analytics, data integrations and exchange, user experience improvements, platform modernization, and product innovation.
Evaluate opportunities for new capabilities, including AI-powered insights and workflow automation, where they can deliver meaningful customer and commercial value.
Assess investment requirements, dependencies, and trade-offs to recommend where product and engineering capacity should be allocated.
Communicate roadmap priorities, rationale, risks, and progress clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

2. Lead Customer Discovery and Product Innovation

Build a deep understanding of foodservice distributors, their business models, operating workflows, and the challenges they face.
Establish a consistent voice-of-customer cadence through customer interviews, advisory sessions, field engagement, support feedback, and collaboration with Sales and Customer Success.
Translate customer insights and market research into well-defined problems, opportunities, and product hypotheses.
Distinguish underlying customer needs from individual feature requests, identifying solutions that address broader, recurring problems.
Partner with Design to develop concepts, prototypes, and experiments that validate ideas before significant development investment.
Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, identifying opportunities to close critical gaps and differentiate TrackMax+.

3. Drive Product Planning and Delivery

Partner with Engineering and Design to translate product strategy into prioritized, actionable requirements and delivery plans.
Own the product backlog, ensuring initiatives have clear problem statements, scope, requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and success measures.
Make timely prioritization decisions, balancing customer impact, business value, technical complexity, risk, and available capacity.
Work closely with engineering leaders to understand technical constraints, platform dependencies, and opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Coordinate across teams and workstreams to manage dependencies, resolve ambiguity, and maintain momentum toward delivery milestones.
Participate in product planning, sprint ceremonies, roadmap reviews, and other product development lifecycle activities.
Adapt priorities based on customer feedback, business performance, technical discoveries, and changing market conditions.

4. Improve Reporting, Data and Platform Capabilities

Drive improvements to reporting and analytics so distributors can better understand business performance and make informed decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, integrations, imports and exports, and the movement of information across distributor workflows.
Partner with Engineering and Data teams to ensure reporting and data capabilities are reliable, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
Prioritize user experience improvements that reduce friction, simplify complex workflows, and improve product usability and adoption.
Support platform modernization initiatives by clearly defining customer and business outcomes, sequencing capabilities, and managing product dependencies.
Balance modernization work with visible customer value and the need to maintain continuity for existing customers.

5. Lead Go-to-Market and Drive Adoption

Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Support to prepare and execute product launches.
Develop clear value propositions, positioning, release communications, enablement materials, and customer adoption plans.
Ensure internal teams understand new capabilities, the customer problems they solve, and how to communicate their value.
Monitor feature adoption, engagement, customer feedback, and business outcomes after launch.
Use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify adoption barriers and opportunities for continued improvement.
Close the feedback loop by incorporating post-launch learnings into the product roadmap and backlog.

6. Measure Outcomes and Maintain Product Accountability

Define success measures for product initiatives before delivery begins, connecting product activity to customer and business outcomes.
Establish and monitor appropriate product KPIs, which may include feature adoption, workflow efficiency, customer satisfaction, retention, expansion, and commercial contribution.
Use product usage data, customer feedback, operational metrics, and business performance to evaluate results.
Communicate progress, trade-offs, risks, and outcomes transparently to stakeholders.
Take end-to-end accountability for product decisions and results, from initial discovery through ongoing optimization.

What You Will BringExperience and Domain Knowledge

7+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
Experience owning a product, product area, or portfolio from strategy and discovery through delivery, launch, and optimization.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex customer and business problems into clear product strategies, roadmaps, and executable plans.
Experience working with cross-functional Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
Experience in foodservice distribution, supply chain, distribution management, ERP, procurement, inventory, financial workflows, or another operationally complex B2B domain is a strong asset.
Experience with reporting, analytics, data integrations, or workflow-intensive software is an advantage.

Product Craft and Execution

Strong customer discovery skills, including interviewing customers, synthesizing feedback, and validating opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound trade-offs based on customer impact, business value, and delivery effort.
Experience managing roadmaps, backlogs, product requirements, dependencies, and release plans.
Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to inform product decisions and measure outcomes.
Experience with Agile product development practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar platforms.
Understanding of software architecture, APIs, integrations, and data concepts sufficient to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Experience launching products or features and driving adoption through cross-functional go-to-market execution.

How You Work

Strategic and pragmatic: Connects long-term product direction to practical, incremental delivery.
Customer-obsessed: Seeks to understand the real problem and advocates for solutions that deliver meaningful value.
Commercially minded: Understands how product decisions affect retention, growth, differentiation, and profitability.
Decisive prioritizer: Makes clear trade-offs and focuses teams on the work that matters most.
Outcome-oriented: Measures success by customer and business impact, not simply features shipped.
Collaborative and influential: Builds alignment across technical and commercial stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
Comfortable with ambiguity: Creates clarity, structure, and momentum in a changing scale-up environment.
Accountable: Takes ownership from discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.

How Success Will Be Measured

Success in this role will be assessed through a combination of product outcomes, customer impact, and execution effectiveness.

Product strategy: A clear, prioritized TrackMax+ roadmap aligned with business goals, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
Customer value: Measurable improvements to distributor workflows, usability, reporting, and customer experience.
Competitive position: Progress against priority competitive gaps and delivery of differentiated capabilities.
Product adoption: Strong adoption and sustained usage of newly launched and improved capabilities.
Business impact: Contribution to customer retention, expansion, revenue opportunities, and other agreed business objectives.
Execution: Predictable delivery, clear requirements, effective prioritization, and proactive management of dependencies and risks.
Product discipline: Consistent application of discovery, validation, roadmap planning, and outcome measurement throughout the product development lifecycle.
Cross-functional alignment: Strong stakeholder confidence in product priorities, decisions, and communication.

Please note: For opportunities in the US, you must reside in one of the following states to qualify for this role - AZ, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, MI, MO, NC, NH, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA
