Account Manager – MechaTronix Canada
Are you a commercially driven professional who enjoys opening doors, building strong customer relationships, and turning opportunities into business?
At MechaTronix, we are looking for an Account Manager to further develop our presence in the Canadian market.
This is not a role where you simply manage an existing customer portfolio. We are looking for someone who is curious about the market, enjoys meeting new people and knows how to build a relevant network from the ground up. Someone who spots opportunities, follows them through and gets energy from turning conversations into long-term business.
What will you do?
As our Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing both existing and new business in West-coast Canada/USA.
You will build strong relationships with customers and prospects, understand their business and applications, and identify where MechaTronix can add value. You don't need to solve every technical challenge yourself: you will work closely with our internal technical specialists to translate customer needs into the right technical and commercial solution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively prospecting and developing new customers
- Understanding customer needs and translating them into commercial opportunities
- Building and maintaining a strong network of customers, prospects, partners and other relevant industry contacts
- Developing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities within them
- Working closely with our technical experts to develop the right solution for the customer
- Managing opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle, from first contact to quotation, negotiation and order
- Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
- Achieving agreed revenue and margin targets
- Monitoring market, customer and competitor developments and turning these insights into commercial opportunities
- Keeping CRM information accurate and up to date and providing clear reporting and reliable forecasts
- Representing MechaTronix at trade shows, seminars and networking events
Who are we looking for?
First and foremost, you are a salesperson.
You know that successful B2B sales is about more than responding to requests. You actively build relationships, ask the right questions and create opportunities. You are comfortable reaching out to new contacts and know how to develop a network over time.
You combine commercial drive with enough technical curiosity to understand our customers' world.
You are someone who:
- Has experience in B2B sales, account management or business development
- Enjoys prospecting and developing new business
- Is a natural networker and relationship builder
- Can communicate confidently with different stakeholders within a customer organization
- Takes ownership of opportunities and follows through on commitments
- Is comfortable negotiating and closing business
- Works in a structured way and understands the importance of CRM, pipeline management and forecasting
- Is results-oriented and motivated by commercial targets
- Has an affinity for technical products and solutions
- Works well with technical specialists and other colleagues to create the best solution for the customer
Experience in a technical, electronics, LED, thermal management or related B2B environment is an asset.
What makes this role interesting?
At MechaTronix, you won't be selling from a catalogue.
Our customers come to us with applications, challenges and ideas. Your role is to understand what they are trying to achieve, recognize the commercial opportunity and bring together the right expertise to make it happen.
That means you'll have room to build your market, develop your network and make a visible commercial impact.
You'll work with an international team and have access to strong technical expertise, while taking ownership of your customers and commercial development in Canada.
Interested?
If you enjoy developing business, building meaningful customer relationships and turning opportunities into results, we'd like to hear from you.
