Original job description

Company Description

MEDFAR Clinical Solutions was founded in 2010 by two aeronautical engineers who realized that the healthcare system was not exploiting the full potential of technology. Supported by a large community of medical experts and focused on clinical success and patient safety, MEDFAR was the first company to certify a cloud-based Electronic Medical Record in Canada: MYLE (Make Your Life Easy).

Committed to promoting excellence and effectiveness in healthcare worldwide, MEDFAR differentiates itself by offering a unique healthcare management solution for clinics, which replaces inefficient processes with a faster and safer technological alternative.

Job Description

As a Data Transfer Team Lead, you will play a key role in the onboarding experience of our new clients. You will lead the technical team responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) clinical and administrative data from third-party systems into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR), MYLE.

Reporting to the Director of Deployment, you will act both as a technical reference and as a people manager. Your mandate is multifaceted: contributing to critical data migration projects, ensuring the quality and integrity of transferred data, and supporting the performance and professional development of your development team. Your leadership will directly contribute to successful deployments and client satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

Supervise, coach, and motivate the data migration development team to ensure quality and performance objectives are achieved
Plan and distribute workload based on deployment priorities and client timelines
Act as a technical mentor to junior and intermediate developers to accelerate their growth
Participate in recruitment processes and conduct performance evaluations

Operations & Technical Expertise

Oversee the architecture of migration scripts and ETL engines to ensure reliability and optimal performance
Lead the analysis and execution of complex or high-impact data migrations
Establish and enforce quality standards, including code reviews, unit testing, and data integrity validation
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Implementation Specialists to manage client expectations and resolve technical blockers
Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce data transfer processing times

Qualifications

Contribute to our team with your strengths:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
5 to 7 years of development experience, with a strong focus on data integration (ETL) or database management
Previous experience in team management, project coordination, or technical mentorship (strong asset)
Advanced proficiency in SQL (stored procedures, query optimization, complex data analysis)
Strong knowledge of C# and the .NET environment
Deep understanding of relational database structures

Key Skills

Leadership: Ability to mobilize a team and make decisions in a results-driven, deadline-oriented environment.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset to diagnose issues arising from disparate systems.
Communication: Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Languages: Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written.

Working conditions

Location: Montreal
Permanent full-time position (40 hours per week)
Hybrid work model
Languages: Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.

Additional Information

Joining the ranks of MEDFAR means working in a dynamic environment where trust, innovation, quality, and client success guide our days. At MEDFAR, we promote efficiency and excellence in healthcare by offering the most efficient electronic medical record (EMR) on the market.

Remote work and flexibility
RRSP contribution
Healthcare insurance from day one
Paid time off
An onboarding program to help you get familiar with our environment and the digital healthcare field
Internal growth opportunities (promotions, internal mobility)
Support from a wellness and social committee, with initiatives to foster team cohesion, mental health, and employee well-being
A company culture focused on transparency, collaboration, and innovation

Join a dynamic and innovative environment where your work has a real and wide-reaching impact, helping to modernize healthcare in Canada and internationally.

With offices around the world, fluency in both French and English is a must at MEDFAR. Because of the need to communicate with colleagues and/or customers in other provinces or countries, bilingualism enables us to communicate in both languages while promoting the use of French.

At MEDFAR, we value diversity, equity and inclusion within our team. We are committed to providing a work environment where every individual feels respected and supported, regardless of their background, identity or abilities. As part of our commitment to a fair and inclusive recruitment process, we offer accommodation to candidates who request it. If you need accommodation during your interview, please let us know so that we can provide you with an adapted experience.

MEDFAR has voluntarily subscribed to an Equal Employment Opportunity Program (EEOP). We encourage applications from women, visible minorities, ethnic minorities, aboriginal peoples and people with disabilities. When applying, we invite you to complete this section, which enables us to implement our Equal Employment Opportunity Program (EEOP).
