Hey, I’m Ichwan, Engineering Manager at MedMe Health. I lead the Gravity pod within our engineering department.

The Team

At MedMe, we are passionate about empowering pharmacists to provide services beyond just prescribing. Our mission is to build an all-in-one cloud-based platform that enables pharmacists to schedule, document, and manage clinical services at scale. With over 4,500 pharmacies using our software, we’ve facilitated more than 25 million patient services, transforming pharmacies into community health hubs across North America.

The Gravity pod owns some of MedMe's most critical integration workstreams - connecting pharmacies and healthcare providers to the systems and networks that keep patient care running. Right now, our highest-priority initiative is a high-traction desktop automation product that is seeing a massive surge in customer interest.

We are a lean, fast-moving pod. Because demand is outpacing our capacity, we need an engineer who doesn't just write code, but naturally takes extreme ownership - someone who can step up, navigate ambiguities, and help lead this project toward production-readiness and international scale.

The Role

We're hiring an Automation-Focused Full-Stack Engineer for the Gravity pod to spearhead the evolution of our core automation product.

This is a greenfield project with a tight feedback loop. We need a senior engineer with heavy-hitting desktop automation experience who can immediately elevate our execution, establish a hyper-reliable architecture, and prepare our systems for expansion into the US market.

In your first 90 days, you'll:

Drive the Automation Product to Production: Take the reins of our automation workflows, moving them from an experimental phase to a rock-solid, production-level state.
Architect for Reliability & Scale: Build robust, non-flaky desktop automation solutions capable of scaling seamlessly to thousands of pharmacies.
Own the US Expansion Blueprint: Help design and execute the infrastructure changes needed for the US region, specifically focusing on data residency, localized login processes, and model deployments.
Implement High-Bar Security & Compliance: Ensure the application is fully HIPAA-compliant and secure against malicious attacks, specifically addressing Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) vulnerabilities and reverse engineering.

Longer term, you'll:

Lead Product Architecture: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of our desktop automation tools - from installer distributions to core architecture.
Drive AI/ML Research: Experiment with, fine-tune, and train AI/ML models to maximize the accuracy and reliability of our automation flows.
Collaborate and Communicate: Act as a core technical voice for the project, running client-facing meetings and confidently raising concerns or ideas in broader company forums.
Mentor and Support: Act as a technical anchor for the pod, collaborating with and mentoring our intermediate and intern engineers to upskill the overall team.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a heavy focus on desktop automation.
Core Tech Stack: Expert-level proficiency in Python and Node.js.
Full-Stack Ecosystem: Strong, hands-on experience with AWS, and SQL.
Communication & Presence: Exceptional communication skills. You are comfortable in front of clients, independent, and not shy about raising critical engineering concerns in larger forums.
AI Fluency: You don't just use AI tools to code faster; you understand how to leverage, fine-tune, or train AI/ML models to solve complex automation problems.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience in building and managing secure installer distributions.
Prior experience in healthcare tech, HIPAA compliance, or clinical workflows

Why Join Us

Massive Ownership: You will be the technical driving force behind a product with high customer traction and executive visibility.
Continuous Growth: We invest in your growth with a yearly stipend for education and learning.
AI-Fluent Culture: Work in an environment where everyone is actively leveraging AI to amplify their output and values.
Real-World Impact: MedMe is scaling rapidly across North America - your code will directly impact how care is delivered to millions of patients.

Perks at MedMe

Comprehensive Health Benefits: Full coverage for dental, vision, physical, and mental health, plus a health spending account (Canada only).
Group RRSP: Secure your future with our Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (Canada only).
Professional Development: A yearly budget dedicated to learning opportunities.
Work-from-Home Stipend: Support to set up and maintain your ideal home office.
Office Closure for Holidays: Enjoy 1-2 weeks of company-wide office closure during the winter holidays.
Company Retreats: Participate in exciting on-site retreats for collaboration and bonding.

The Interview Process

Intro Call with Ichwan (30 mins): Role context, your background, and mutual fit.
Take-Home Test: A practical exercise focused on your technical strengths.
Technical Interview (120 mins): Live session walking through system design and code implementation.
Team Fit Conversation (45 mins): Meet the Gravity pod, ask us anything.
Offer Call

Compensation Range

CAD $115,000 - $176,000 (Dependent on depth of experience)

That’s our company, team, and the opportunity. I’d love to hear more about your background and what you’re looking for in your next career challenge!
