Company: Mednow
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Company Overview
Mednow Pharmacy is building a more convenient, connected, and personalized pharmacy experience for Canadians.
We combine the services patients expect from a great community pharmacy with technology designed to make accessing and managing care easier. Our digital platform supports online prescription management, pharmacist chat, integrated delivery, digital workflows, and other tools that allow our pharmacy team to spend more time focused on patients.
Mednow is also part of a broader healthcare platform connecting pharmacy and medical care. More than 50 physicians actively provide care through the Mednow platform, both virtually and through in-home visits. We operate a pharmacy in Vancouver and work with pharmacy partners across Canada.
Our goal is simple: use technology to make pharmacy more accessible, efficient, and personal without losing the relationship and clinical judgment that great pharmacy care requires.
The Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and proactive Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will play a key part in our tech-heavy operations - handling technical checks (including PACMED), prescription processing, billing, charging, dispensing, inventory management, and delivering high-touch customer service across digital and traditional channels.
What You'll Do
- Technical Checks & Dispensing: Perform final technical checks within the technician scope of practice, including inspecting, checking, and verifying PACMED compliance packaging.
- Prescription Processing: Accurately fill, bill, charge, and dispense prescriptions following Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and Mednow workflows.
- Technology & Digital Communication: Leverage Mednow's digital pharmacy platforms to manage workflows, communicate with patients via chat and phone, and navigate tech-heavy pharmacy systems efficiently.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent, empathetic patient support over the phone, live chat, and email to resolve inquiries, assist with orders, and coordinate delivery details.
- Inventory & Ordering: Manage medication inventory, place supplier orders, receive stock, and ensure appropriate storage and maintenance.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless workflow, accuracy, and patient safety.
- Education & Licensing: Registerd Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Technical Experience: Hands-on experience with prescription filling, billing, charging, dispensing, and PACMED automation/checking (PREFFERED).
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: High comfort level with technology, digital platforms, live chat tools, and electronic workflow management systems.
- Pharmacy Software: Strong working knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Management System is strongly preferred.
- Communication & Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient interactions via phone and chat.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.
- Schedule: Ability to work Monday-Friday 9am - 5 pm shift daily.
- Practice Pharmacy Differently: Work in a modern, technology-enabled environment designed to reduce administrative friction and elevate patient care.
- Connected Care: Collaborate alongside a broad network of virtual and in-home primary care providers.
- Build What's Next: Join an expanding healthcare platform that is shaping the future of Canadian pharmacy care.
- Pay & Benefits: Competitive hourly rate, comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
- Perks: Professional development support and on-site parking.
- Work Location: In person (Etobicoke, ON).
