Position Description

responsible for translating sales orders, engineering specs, and project milestones into

optimized, actionable production schedules for our Okanagan Falls manufacturing facility.

You will act as the vital bridge between project management, supply chain, and the factory

schedule for cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glulam manufacturing operations at

the Okanagan Falls facility.

  • Act as the central hub between Project Management, Engineering (BIM/CAD),

Procurement, and Operations to align raw material availability and approved shop

drawings with production timelines.

  • Analyze factory capacity against current and forecasted workloads. Identify

potential bottlenecks and proactively adjust schedules or recommend resource

allocations to protect delivery commitments.

  • Leverage ERP systems to maintain part masters, BOMS, production order

execution, release work orders, manage WIP (Work in Progress), and maintain

meticulously accurate production data and material consumption.

  • Establish and maintain demand forecasts in collaboration with the project and

distributor sales teams along with inventory supply and procurement teams to

ensure lumber feedstocks, adhesives, and custom steel hardware are physically

available precisely when needed to prevent downtime.

  • Manage Chain of Custody (FSC/SFI) certification compliance, maintaining full

material traceability across all production schedules. Monitor daily production

performance against the schedule. Generate and present monthly reports on

production output and forecast targets. Weekly check ins with production and

project management teams to maintain schedule alignment and priorities

  • Champion initiatives to streamline the scheduling process, reduce manufacturing

lead times, minimize changeover waste, and implement lean manufacturing

principles within the planning department.

  • Oversee workload distribution, establish clear team goals, conduct performance

reviews, and drive continuous capability development across direct reports.
