About the Role
We are looking for an Operations Builder to design and structure our service offerings to our portfolio companies, enabling them administratively, operationally, and financially. This role will touch on administrative back office functions, operational improvement and optimization, and business growth. The ideal candidate will bring operational expertise in a relevant business function, paired with an interest in expanding their breadth of knowledge and a strong ability to both learn quickly and deliver value while learning.
This role reports to the VP of Ops and Product, and will collaborate closely with him and the rest of the operations/product team to build out the operations strategy and roadmap. This job is for a structured doer. We need someone who has a bias for action; is excited to try things, monitor results, and iterate; and centers the output around a resilient and adaptable service model that delivers value at scale to every partner who needs it. This role is also deeply implicated in product development and will be a key partner for both the product and engineering teams to incorporate our service offerings into our core technology product.

We have one foot on the job site and one foot in Silicon Valley. A morning building product and talking to top-tier investors; an afternoon in a truck headed to a site to see how the work actually gets done - steel-toe boots optional, but you'll want them eventually. And because we own our customers, you build and deploy to real businesses without sales cycles or convincing anyone to adopt you. Even a handful of acquisitions touches tens of thousands of households and thousands of frontline workers - the work you do here will be felt by millions downstream within a few years.

What You'll Do
- Identify the most compelling value added services that our partners need and build them from the ground up. You'll set the standard for each service line: what it is, its quality bar, and how it runs.
- Build the team that delivers those services
- Spend time with the businesses we acquire, talking to operators, understanding real workflows, and building services people will actually use and gain value from.
- Collaborate with the engineering, and product team to make sure the services we build are enabled by our product
- Work hand in hand with the partner facing operations team to design & build service lines, and equip the Integration team to deploy them.
- Learn from the field to iterate and improve the quality, scope, and offerings within our service lines
Who You Are
- You are able to work across multiple domains, you can quickly understand and structure partner needs (both expressed and implicit), and you can identify and prioritize the biggest value levers.
- You have a people-first lens, and understand that a service offering needs to work first for the people interacting with it before any value can be created from it
- You are excited about building some of the service features using AI tools
- You are comfortable in ambiguity, and like to build structure, processes, and tools to reduce ambiguity over time
- You like to always be learning, and you excel at making connection between different domains to improve your understanding and innovate new solutions
- You have an interest in the physical, built world and the operators who run it.
- You have operational experience in a relevant business function
- You have led a team before
- You are fully fluent, written and spoken, in both French and English
Nice to Haves
- You have experience in a physical economy industry (warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, construction, etc)
- Extra points if you’ve been a construction project manager, site supervisor, or administrative support
- You have led people and teams before
- You have experience building from scratch in an early-stage environment, a startup, or your own projects.
- You have fluency with AI coding tools and can turn an idea into a tangible product
