Original job description

Opportunity

Our Development team is growing, and we're looking for a .NET Full-Stack Developer who's excited to build high-quality, customer-facing features and solve real business problems. You'll work across our stack - C#/.NET, React, and our in-house Storybook component library - on a platform backed by AWS, serverless (Lambda), and a messaging-based architecture. We're AI-first but human-accountable: you'll use AI to move fast, and your judgment to make sure what ship is right.

Admin Team:
The Admin team owns the core administrative and security capabilities of Method CRM, including authentication, user management, access control, account configuration and multi-tenancy. We are a balanced full-stack team building both frontend and backend experiences that enable customers to securely manage their organizations at scale. Our work underpins platform trust, compliance, and long-term customer growth.

About Method

Method is on a mission to transform how small businesses operate by giving them real control over their customer workflows. Our flagship product, Method CRM is purpose-built for small businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and generic tools. With deep QuickBooks integration and a powerful no-code customization engine, Method enables users to design workflows that truly fit their unique needs. As a scaling growth company, we’re now taking that mission further, leveraging AI to develop intelligent agents that assist users in rapidly building and customizing no-code apps. This innovation is at the heart of our next chapter, and we’re looking for people who are excited to build the future of work!

The Role

As a .NET Full-Stack Developer, you will be part of a driven and supportive team that’s always striving to deliver value to our customers by shipping new features and helping our platform scale.

Design, develop, maintain, and deploy well-tested services and features, with a focus on solving the underlying customer problems.
Refine project requirements prior to development, ensuring that ambiguity is resolved early and that delivery remains within the appropriate scope.
Provide in-depth analysis and resolutions to complex problems reported by our users, targeting the root cause of every issue.
Effectively contribute suggestions and new ideas to enhance the performance and usability of our platform for all users.
Participate in team story and task breakdowns, code reviews, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Communicate early with leadership when technical work impacts core architecture, security, or deviates from established objectives.

What You Bring

Before you read this next section, we want you to know that we know the “ideal candidate” doesn’t exist - everybody has a unique background and skill set. Even if you don’t check every box below, we’d love for you to apply - we are building for the future and growth potential is a priority for us!

2+ years building web apps across both front-end and back-end.
Strong C#, .NET Core, .NET 6/7/8, Web API, MVC, REST, design patterns, SPA, monolith vs. microservices, and Git.
JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and a front-end SPA library (Angular / React).
Persistence storage and ORMs (SQL / NoSQL).
Unit and integration testing; Agile (Sprint / Kanban) experience.
Works AI-first with disciplined verification - uses AI to accelerate analysis, code, and tests; neither avoids it nor trusts it blindly.
Self-motivated and goal-driven, prioritizes well, and enjoys problem solving in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
Passionate for building engaging user experiences.
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the overall team’s success in a fast paced environment.
Education in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred

Bonus points if you have any of the following:

Infra and front-end tooling: Linux, Docker, Redux, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, MassTransit, CI/CD pipelines, Playwright, Python, SQS.
Microsoft or AWS certifications.

What We Offer

🌐 Flexible hybrid work model – designed to support work-life balance while maintaining strong team collaboration; employees work from our downtown Toronto office 2–3 days per week

🎉 Collaborative and social team culture – work in a supportive environment with regular team events and company-wide celebrations that keep things fun and connected

🚀 Growth-stage company experience – working at a scaling growth company like Method gives you deep insight into how a software company operates. You'll be involved in a wide range of discussions and initiatives, gaining experience that's hard to find in more siloed environments.

📚 Training – You will receive initial and ongoing training on Method’s products, policies and procedures as well as a quarterly professional development budget.

📍Great downtown location – Method is located right in the heart of Toronto’s young and vibrant ‘King West’ technology hub at the corner of Adelaide and Spadina Ave.

🩺 Comprehensive health benefits – inclusive of healthcare, vision, and dental coverage to support your overall well-being

🥗 Weekly lunch credit – enjoy a meal on us every week as a small way to say thanks

What to Expect in Your First 90 Days:

Onboard and acclimate with the Development team, including tailored 1on1s.
Complete Method’s Bootcamp.
Understand Method’s values, tools and best practices and how our teams collaborate to drive results.
Learn how various parts of the system are integrated together, and navigate the codebase so that you can troubleshoot minor bugs.
Start making small improvements based on the product backlog or refactoring code to improve readability, testability, and maintainability.
Contribute to the Development team's culture, processes, and best practices.
Become more confident with code ownership and deploying to production.
Assisting the team with daily releases and monitoring changes.
Start assuming more autonomy and finding small ways to practice ownership across the platform.
Work closely with your manager to explore goals for the rest of the year.
Help other developers with code design and decision making.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum

Job type: Full-time permanent.

AI in Recruitment

At Method, we use artificial intelligence (AI) to help support and enhance our recruitment process. These tools may assist with tasks such as resume screening, drafting job descriptions, generating initial interview questions, transcription, and occasionally sourcing candidates.

AI is never used to make final hiring decisions. All hiring decisions are made by our team. Our use of AI is intended to support administrative and repetitive tasks, helping us streamline our workflows while maintaining a thoughtful and human-centered hiring experience.

We are committed to the responsible and ethical use of AI in our recruitment practices. Our standardized hiring processes are designed to reduce bias and promote fairness, and we regularly review and refine our practices to align with evolving industry standards and legal guidelines.

Method is an equal opportunity employer for all - regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status or able-bodiedness. As part of our commitment to be an inclusive and accessible workplace, we’re happy to provide accommodations for candidates taking part in the selection process.
