About the role
Our client is growing its data center delivery capability and looking for an experienced General Superintendent to join the team in Edmonton, Alberta. You’ll hold overall responsibility for field operations on large-scale, mission-critical projects, leading a team of superintendents and keeping every phase safe, on schedule and to the highest quality standard from groundbreaking through to commissioning and handover.
We’re open to candidates already in Edmonton and to those willing to relocate or travel.
What you’ll do
- Lead and oversee all field operations across data center and other mission-critical projects
- Direct and mentor superintendents, assistant superintendents and foremen
- Own the master site schedule, long-range planning and resource allocation
- Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers and logistics across all phases and work areas
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, design teams and client representatives to resolve issues early
- Review drawings, specifications and submittals to ensure work is built to spec
- Monitor progress, quality, cost and productivity, and report clearly to senior leadership
- Lead testing, commissioning and handover activities
- Champion site safety, quality and regulatory compliance at all times
- Set the standard for site culture, accountability and teamwork
What we’re looking for
- Proven senior-level experience as a general superintendent or equivalent on large commercial or industrial projects, ideally data centers or comparable mission-critical facilities
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and structural construction sequencing
- Track record of delivering complex, multi-trade projects safely, on time and within budget
- Confident managing multiple superintendents, subcontractors and site logistics at scale
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices
- Based in Edmonton, Alberta, or willing to relocate or travel

- Experience with hyperscale or colocation builds
