SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, eCommerce Growth Ontario, the Advisor, eCommerce Growth Ontario – Food Basics is responsible for supporting the growth, performance and ongoing development of the Food Basics eCommerce business. The Advisor works closely with agencies and cross-functional teams to plan and execute growth initiatives, manage promotional and seasonal activations, enhance the online shopping experience and improve business performance. Using a data-driven approach, the Advisor identifies opportunities, monitors results and coordinates marketing, merchandising, operational and platform improvements that support eCommerce sales and profitability objectives.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development and execution of the Food Basics eCommerce growth strategy across delivery, pickup, express delivery and other online grocery services.
- Monitor sales, customer, marketing, operational and financial performance; identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring corrective action.
- Prepare recurring performance reports, business reviews and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Analyze performance variances and coordinate required adjustments with Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Operations, internal teams and agencies.
- Use a data-driven approach to recommend initiatives that improve sales, traffic, conversion, customer engagement, order frequency and profitability.
- Support annual planning, sales forecasts, growth targets, campaign planning and competitive intelligence for Food Basics eCommerce.
- Act as a key day-to-day contact for assigned agencies and build productive relationships with stores and internal business teams.
- Coordinate business requests, issue resolution, agency commitments, deliverables, risks and dependencies across multiple stakeholders.
- Support the evaluation of agency recommendations, campaign opportunities, creative concepts and new digital capabilities.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of new eCommerce programs, service enhancements, store expansions and customer-experience initiatives, including feasibility analysis, implementation schedules, launch readiness and post-launch follow-up.
- Coordinate requirements and deliverables with Operations, Information Technology, product catalogue teams, Marketing, Merchandising, Media, Finance, Customer Service and agencies.
- Plan, maintain and execute the Food Basics eCommerce promotional and seasonal activation calendar.
- Coordinate the production, maintenance and publishing of eCommerce content to ensure accuracy, timeliness and alignment with Food Basics brand standards.
- Brief agencies on the development of digital and traditional promotional assets; establish priorities, timelines and quality-control processes for recurring and ad hoc deliverables.
- Work with Marketing, Merchandising and Media teams to execute seasonal campaigns supporting promotional offers, featured products, cross-selling opportunities, new products and personalized themes.
- Maximize awareness and reach of Food Basics eCommerce services across the broader brand ecosystem, including email, digital media, website and mobile application channels.
- Coordinate the development and launch of featured shops, landing pages and other online merchandising experiences.
- Identify and prioritize issues affecting product availability, pricing, promotions, catalogue accuracy, site content, order execution and the overall customer experience.
- Contribute to the definition of business requirements for platform enhancements and continuous improvement of the Food Basics online shopping experience.
- Coordinate the investigation and resolution of marketing, content, operational, technical and customer-service issues; develop processes and documentation that reduce recurring issues.
- Track campaign and activation performance, assess results against objectives and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
- Support the management of production budgets and the review, validation and reconciliation of agency and supplier invoices, fees, credits and financial adjustments.
- Coordinate with Finance and agencies to investigate discrepancies, resolve outstanding items and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Assist with business cases, financial analyses, performance assessments and information required for internal, executive or investor reporting.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, digital marketing, eCommerce or another relevant discipline.
- Three or more years of relevant experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, retail, project coordination, campaign management, business analysis or a related field.
- Experience working with creative, media, digital or production agencies is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear findings and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with web analytics, dashboards, campaign reporting or financial analyses is an asset.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of grocery retail, digital marketing or online grocery operations is an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
