Familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g., Metrolinx Act, Places to Grow Act, Planning Act, Revised Statutes of Ontario (RSO), Municipal Act) is an asset.
Principles and practices of architecture, urban planning, engineering design and their application to the construction of infrastructure, facilities, and related works
Analytical and negotiation skills and experience with vendor management to manage development and delivery of externally provided products and services (e.g., negotiate contracts, interpret, compile, and administer contracts and memoranda of understanding (MOUs)
Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation and negotiation skills to negotiate contracts, monitor legal, regulatory, and procedural compliance, direct construction activities, and participate in committees.
