Our Digital Delivery team is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex digital and technology initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will bring strong, recent hands-on Agile and Scrum delivery experience, sound project management discipline, and the ability to quickly take ownership of multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
This role requires a delivery-focused leader who can work effectively across business, technology and vendor teams, establish clear plans and accountabilities, proactively manage risks and dependencies, and drive initiatives through execution to successful delivery.

iWhat will I be doing?
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent digital and technology projects from planning through implementation and transition.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, schedules, dependencies and success measures.
- Apply Agile and Scrum delivery practices to establish an effective delivery cadence and manage backlogs, dependencies, risks, issues, milestones and release plans.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies as required, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives, ensuring teams remain aligned and focused on delivery outcomes.
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines across multiple initiatives, proactively identifying delivery risks and escalating decisions, constraints or dependencies when required.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets and resource requirements, adjusting delivery plans as priorities or conditions change.
- Lead cross-functional business, technology and vendor teams, establishing clear accountability for deliverables, decisions and timelines.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage expectations, facilitate effective communication and proactively address concerns or issues.
- Provide concise, accurate project reporting and executive-level visibility into schedule, scope, budget, risks, dependencies, decisions and overall delivery health.
- Monitor project progress using appropriate performance indicators and take corrective action where required to keep initiatives on track.
- Drive quality and delivery discipline, ensuring project outcomes meet business requirements, functional expectations and user experience standards.
- Identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks that could affect delivery timelines, scope, quality or budget.
- Provide delivery leadership across assigned project teams, reinforcing effective Agile practices, clear accountability and disciplined project execution.
- Capture lessons learned, apply relevant best practices and support continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Use Metrolinx project management tools and processes to support governance, reporting, resource management and regulatory compliance.
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative team environment focused on shared delivery outcomes.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated senior-level project management experience delivering complex digital and technology initiatives.
- Demonstrated recent, hands-on experience leading technology delivery using Agile and Scrum practices, including sprint planning, backlog and dependency management, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning and delivery tracking.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management frameworks, with the ability to apply the appropriate level of structure and discipline to the delivery environment.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple concurrent technology projects with competing priorities, dependencies and deadlines, while maintaining clear delivery plans, stakeholder alignment and appropriate escalation.
- Ability to quickly understand an established technology and business environment, take ownership of in-flight initiatives, and work independently with limited ramp-up time.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and working effectively with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors.
- Experience delivering large, complex or transformational technology initiatives.
- Strong project management capability across planning, budgeting, scheduling, prioritization, dependency management, risk and issue management, change control and implementation.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or other recognized project management and Agile delivery tools.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex delivery information clearly and concisely to project teams, business stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to establish accountability, motivate teams and maintain delivery momentum.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex delivery challenges.
- Recognized certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or comparable Agile/project management certifications are highly desirable.
