Our organization operates across Canada and the United States.

The position is a Sales Account Manager, in which the individual will work with all the provinces where Midland Transport operates, participate in working meetings with colleagues located across the country, as well as with the Executive Director based at the head office (New Brunswick).

This role involves communicating, both orally and in writing, daily with other Midland Transport teams across Canada, as well as with our national clients and partners. Indeed, these national clients and partners represent a significant portion of our operations.

Following our analysis, we have determined that the tasks related to the Sales Account Manager position require knowledge of English at an advanced intermediate level, in addition to French (spoken and written). We have also concluded that the level of English currently required for other employees does not allow for the proper execution of the specific duties associated with this role.

However, Midland limits as much as possible the number of positions for which knowledge of a language other than French is required. Midland requires proficiency in English only when it is necessary for the performance of an employee’s duties.

Job Description

Irving.

The Opportunity

Midland Transport is currently seeking an Account Manager in Montreal, QC. We’re looking for a proven salesperson who wants to be part of a growth oriented, service driven organization. This role comes with an established book of business and the opportunity to grow both new and existing customer relationships by delivering Superior Quality Service (SQS).

You’ll leverage our LTL, TL, Brokerage, and Courier solutions to win new business, expand share of wallet, and solve real customer challenges. Success in this role requires strong negotiation skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Identify and secure new accounts while growing the base.
Develop and sell value-based transportation solutions.
Provide superior quality service through every interaction.
Utilize CRM to build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
Manage the territory to balance the requirements of securing business, customer maintenance & agreement renewals.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

You have post-secondary education. A bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is preferred.
