Original job description

Commission & Compensation Disclaimer This opportunity begins as a commission-only sales engagement, intended as an independent contractor arrangement where legally appropriate. There is no base salary, hourly pay, monthly retainer, paid training or guaranteed income under the proposed contractor terms. Commission is earned when a qualifying client signs, is invoiced and Miles Ahead Hosting receives cleared payment. Commission rates, eligible revenue, sales attribution, payment schedules and the treatment of instalments, refunds, cancellations and termination will be agreed in writing before work begins. Any advertised earnings figures or examples illustrate potential commission earnings. They are not a salary, guaranteed income or a promise of results. Actual earnings may be lower, including zero. Company campaigns, supplied leads, time spent and sales activity do not guarantee a completed sale or commission. The intended progression is toward sales commission plus separately paid project-based work, depending on performance, available assignments and business needs. Each paid project must have its scope, deliverables, fees and payment terms agreed in writing before it begins. Project work, management progression and future salaried employment are not guaranteed. Nothing in this disclaimer or any agreement excludes statutory rights or payment obligations that cannot lawfully be waived. You lead. They follow. That’s Miles Ahead.. Miles Ahead Hosting brings technology, design, marketing and sales together under one brand. Based in British Columbia, Canada, we help businesses establish their digital foundations, strengthen their presence and move forward with a clear direction. Our approach is personal and considered. We take the time to understand the business, bring the right people into the conversation and coordinate the details. From the first introduction through to delivery, the experience should feel confident, professional and effortless for the client. We are looking for an experienced B2B sales closer who can represent that standard. Someone who is comfortable speaking with business owners, understands the value of a well-presented solution and knows how to guide a conversation toward a decision. Someone with the presence to earn attention, the judgement to build trust and the confidence to ask for the business. With new campaigns preparing to launch, we are expanding our closing capacity. You will work alongside our sales leadership, marketing specialists and technical delivery team to turn opportunities into signed, paying clients. You will have ownership of your conversations and follow-up, while drawing on the expertise of the people responsible for delivering the work. Our services span website design and development, WordPress, Shopify, e-commerce, hosting, domains and professional email. We also provide SEO, local SEO, paid advertising, lead generation, appointment setting, branding, social media and content services. Beyond that, we help businesses improve how they operate through CRM systems, sales infrastructure, AI automation, integrations, custom applications and ongoing technical support. This gives you a substantial range of solutions to work with. Your responsibility is to understand the client’s priorities and present a recommendation that makes commercial sense. You will own the sales conversation from discovery through to close. That means qualifying the opportunity, understanding the budget and decision-making process, presenting the right services and coordinating accurate proposals with our delivery team. You will handle objections, negotiate within agreed terms, maintain purposeful follow-up and secure the commitment. You will also develop your own opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking and social selling. Company campaigns and existing leads will form part of the opportunity, with availability, quality and volume varying over time. Clear records matter. You will keep your pipeline, next steps and forecasts accurate in our Trello CRM and arrange a professional handover when a client is ready to begin. Performance will be assessed through the opportunities you progress, your closing results and the revenue collected. Your presence should carry beyond the sales call. We want someone who is confident representing Miles Ahead on camera. Working with our marketing and content team, you will record short service introductions, personalised prospect videos, campaign content and clear answers to common buying questions. You should be able to explain what we do naturally, make the value understandable and give a business owner a compelling reason to continue the conversation. There may also be opportunities to participate in presentations, webinars and other brand activity. We are looking for proven B2B closing experience, ideally across digital marketing, websites, SEO, SaaS, consulting or technology services. You should be able to explain what you sold, the typical deal values, your personal contribution and the results you achieved. Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management and sales automation is a strong advantage. There is room to grow with us. Miles Ahead is a growing startup, and we welcome ambitious people who want to earn greater responsibility. Strong closing performance, sound judgement and the ability to support others could lead to mentoring colleagues, managing accounts, leading a sales team or progressing into sales management. Progression will reflect demonstrated results and business needs. We are also open to separate project-based collaboration where your skills match a defined assignment. The scope, deliverables, timeline, fees and payment terms will be agreed in writing before work begins. Any project fees will be agreed separately from sales commission. The sales role is a 100% commission-only independent contractor arrangement. There is no base salary, hourly pay, monthly retainer, paid training, employee benefits or guaranteed income for the sales role. Commission is earned only when a client signs, is invoiced and Miles Ahead Hosting receives cleared payment. Commission percentages, attribution and payment terms will be agreed in writing before you begin working on opportunities. You must be financially comfortable working without guaranteed earnings. Campaign activity and access to leads do not guarantee sales or commission. The role is remote, with availability required for client calls and agreed collaboration, including overlap with 9:00 AM–1:00 PM Pacific Time. To apply, please include: A brief introduction and your relevant B2B closing experience. Examples of your results, including typical deal values and your personal contribution. A 60–90-second video introducing yourself and presenting Miles Ahead to a prospective client. Your location, time zone and availability. Confirmation that you understand the commission-only sales arrangement. Shortlisted candidates will take part in a practical sales conversation covering discovery, objection handling and closing. If you can represent Miles Ahead with confidence and take ownership of bringing business home, we would like to meet you. We are Miles Ahead. Are you?
