In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, support daily store operations, and take responsibility for opening and closing procedures as required. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and confident in taking initiative while contributing to a positive and engaging store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and recommending products based on their interests and needs.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process transactions accurately, and handle cash and other payment methods responsibly.
- Perform store opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, securing the premises, and following company security protocols.
- Support daily store operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.
- Maintain product displays, replenish merchandise, and assist with inventory management.
- Develop strong product knowledge to confidently recommend games, puzzles, toys, and collectibles.
- Work toward achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets while supporting overall store performance.
- Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.
- Assist with resolving customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure company policies and operational procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with store management and team members to maintain smooth and efficient store operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, sales, or customer service preferred.
- Previous Key Holder, supervisory, or store opening and closing experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible, with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling cash transactions and following operational and security procedures.
