With retail locations across Canada and the United States, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to our customers while supporting our growing operations.</p><p>We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized <strong>Accounts Payable Clerk</strong> to join our Accounting team at our Head Office in Markham. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, three-way matching, vendor reconciliation, payment application, and accounting reporting.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p><strong>Invoice Processing &amp; Three-Way Matching:</strong> Review and process supplier invoices by matching purchase orders, receiving records, and invoices to ensure accuracy and proper approvals.</p></li><li><p><strong>Discrepancy Resolution:</strong> Investigate invoice discrepancies and follow up with store teams and relevant departments to resolve issues promptly.</p></li><li><p><strong>Payment Application &amp; NetSuite:</strong> Apply payments in NetSuite and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and allocated to the appropriate invoices and accounts.</p></li><li><p><strong>Utility Billing &amp; Payment Coordination:</strong> Process utility invoices, ensure timely payments, and set up and maintain Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) arrangements as required.</p></li><li><p><strong>Vendor Account Reconciliation:</strong> Assist with vendor account reconciliations, identify outstanding items, and follow up on discrepancies.</p></li><li><p><strong>Accounting Reports:</strong> Prepare accurate reports and supporting information for the Accounting Manager.</p></li><li><p><strong>Team Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with the Accounting Manager, AP Coordinator, store teams, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth and accurate accounting processes.</p></li><li><p>Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.</p></li><li><p>Assist with other accounts payable and accounting-related duties as required.</p></li></ul><h2>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</h2><ul><li><p><strong>1&ndash;3 years of relevant work experience</strong>, preferably in accounts payable, accounting, or a related role.</p></li><li><p><strong>High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.</strong></p></li><li><p>Experience with <strong>NetSuite is an asset.</strong></p></li><li><p>Proficiency with <strong>Microsoft Excel is an asset.</strong></p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.</p></li></ul><h2>Equal Opportunity &amp; Non-Discrimination</h2><p>Mind Games is committed to providing an inclusive and equitable workplace.
