Accountant

Job Role : Accountant

Duration : 12 Months of contract (Need to go 4 days in week to onsite)

Location : Toronto, ON

Project : IFRS 17 Finance and Actuarial Transformation – support reduction of manual or complex tasks in the current month end close cycle.

What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role :

• MS Office
• PeopleSoft
• Tableau report building knowledge/experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Power Query preferred
• Power BI knowledge an asset
• ePAM knowledge an asset

Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:

• Completion of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA: CA, CGA, CMA) or equivalent experience (3 years)
• 3 years or more of financial services industry experience in progressive finance roles (preferred)
• Exceptional Excel skills*** (very important)
• Experience with Power Query
• Excellent working knowledge of all Windows based software
• Experience or knowledge of financial reporting for Investments
• Experience working with large data sets,and automating manual processes is an asset.
