Now Hiring: Accountant – Finance Reporting

📍 Location: Mississauga, ON

📅 Duration: 12+ Months

Role: We are seeking an experienced Finance Reporting Accountant to support financial reporting, investment accounting, and process automation within the financial services/insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly journal entries, financial statements, and reporting packages.
• Support forecasting, financial analysis, and variance explanations.
• Assist with interim and year-end audits.
• Research reporting changes and implement process improvements.
• Streamline reporting and automate manual finance processes.

Must-Have Qualifications

• CPA designation (CA/CGA/CMA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial services experience, preferably in insurance or investment accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on Power Query experience.
• Knowledge of investment products and financial reporting.
• Experience working with large datasets and automating manual processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

• IFRS 17 or insurance financial reporting experience.
• Power BI, Tableau, or dashboard development.
• Month-end close and journal-entry automation experience.
