Now Hiring: Accountant – Finance Reporting

📍 Location: Mississauga, ON

📅 Duration: 12+ Months

Role: We are seeking an experienced Finance Reporting Accountant to support financial reporting, investment accounting, and process automation within the financial services/insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly journal entries, financial statements, and reporting packages.
Support forecasting, financial analysis, and variance explanations.
Assist with interim and year-end audits.
Research reporting changes and implement process improvements.
Streamline reporting and automate manual finance processes.

Must-Have Qualifications

CPA designation (CA/CGA/CMA) or equivalent experience.
Strong financial services experience, preferably in insurance or investment accounting.
Advanced Excel skills and hands-on Power Query experience.
Knowledge of investment products and financial reporting.
Experience working with large datasets and automating manual processes.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

IFRS 17 or insurance financial reporting experience.
Power BI, Tableau, or dashboard development.
Month-end close and journal-entry automation experience.
