The Minnesota Board of Pharmacy exists to promote, preserve, and protect the public health, safety, and welfare by fostering the safe distribution of pharmaceuticals and the provision of quality pharmaceutical care for the citizens of Minnesota.

The purpose of this position is to support the administration and operation of the Minnesota Prescription Monitoring Program (MN PMP) and the Opiate Product Registration Fee Program (OPRFP). This role is responsible for verifying eligibility for system access, providing training and technical assistance to data users and reporters, coordinating outreach and public education activities, and assisting with compliance auditing, data requests, and reporting. The position also serves as a liaison between the Board of Pharmacy, system vendors, licensees, and other stakeholders and requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally. Additional responsibilities include coordinating task force meetings, maintaining program web content, and supporting program analytics, reporting, and outreach activities.

This position is eligible for a hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance will be required for team members or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Please review the Telework Policy for details.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience providing customer service or technical assistance to diverse stakeholders, including responding professionally to questions by telephone, email, and other written or electronic communication.
Communication skills sufficient to prepare and edit written materials using correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure; communicate effectively with internal and external customers; and explain procedures, rules, regulations and program requirements clearly and accurately.
Knowledge of standard computer software for word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets sufficient to prepare and edit documents, letters, memoranda, and other business correspondence.
Data entry skills sufficient to accurately enter information into designated data fields, identify and correct data-entry errors, and compare source documents with database information.
Customer service skills sufficient to respond professionally to questions by telephone, email, and other written or electronic communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Postsecondary degree in public health, health care administration, criminal justice, public policy, or a related area.
Experience working with Prescription Monitoring Programs (PMPs/PDMPs), licensing boards, or health care data systems.
Familiarity with pharmacy operations and terminology, including Schedule II-V controlled substances and related terminology.
Experience coordinating multiple projects, deadlines, or program activities simultaneously.
Experience with data auditing, compliance monitoring processes, or regulatory reporting processes.
Experience interpreting and applying state or federal statutes, regulations, or policies related to data privacy, health care, or controlled substances.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive or regulated information.
