Purpose (The "Why")

MistyWest builds hard technology: connected devices, embedded AI and IoT systems for Mining, Logistics, Smart Infrastructure and HealthTech. Our engineers do remarkable work, but most of it never reaches the market.

We're hiring someone to change that. You'll get the story out of our engineers and customers, turn it into content and partner programs that bring in qualified leads, and be accountable for filling the top of our funnel. You'll need to understand the technology well enough to talk about it credibly, tell the story well enough that people care, and follow up well enough that the interest turns into pipeline.

What you'll own

Generate qualified pipeline.
You'll own MistyWest's MQL targets across events, partners and content. You'll run and improve our nurturing funnel in HubSpot/Salesforce, Mailchimp and Apollo. You'll know which leads are real, hand them to sales cleanly, and track what converts.
Turn partners into a lead engine.
You'll build real relationships with our partner network. You'll run quarterly partner funnel reviews, comparing our pipeline with our partners' to find shared opportunities (we'll design this process together). You'll co-plan events with partners and grow event sponsorship revenue, working toward full ownership of sponsorships.
Tell our story with technical credibility.
You'll interview engineers and customers, ask the questions others don't, and turn complex work into case studies, blog posts, a monthly newsletter, LinkedIn content and event themes. You'll keep up with HardTech, AI, IoT and our markets through books, podcasts, news and thought leaders, and you'll be able to hold your own in a conversation with an engineer or a CTO.
Run the community and events engine.
You'll set the strategy for our event series (a dedicated contractor handles day-to-day logistics) and make sure every event produces leads. You'll grow our communities of customers, partners and future hires.
Experiment with AI.
You'll use AI tools and build lightweight custom workflows to generate more MQLs, faster. We want you to try things we haven't tried before and tell us what worked.

Requirements

A technical foundation. An engineering or technical degree, or hands-on experience working in hardware, IoT, AI or deep tech.
2-6 years in B2B tech marketing, partnerships, business development or sales. A track record of generating leads matters more to us than the exact number of years.
An understanding of the funnel. You know the difference between an MQL and an SQL and have worked in a CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce).
Strong storytelling and interviewing skills. You can draw insight out of an engineer and write it so a buyer cares. Technical writing samples are a strong plus.
Drive and ownership. You chase opportunities, follow up relentlessly and like owning a number.
Relationship skills. You build trust with partners and collaborate well with a technical team.
Organization. You can juggle partners, content and campaigns without dropping anything.
Availability to travel 2-4 times a year across North America (e.g., CES, Seattle Tech Week, SF Deep Tech Week).

What Success Looks Like:

A new record for MQLs generated through MistyWest events
Partner-sourced leads well above previous performance
A new record for event sponsorship revenue
A steady stream of technical stories published from our engineering team

Career Growth Path:

This role can grow into Senior Marketing & Partnerships Manager. That means owning sponsorships and broader marketing strategy, leading SDRs and other lead-gen resources, and eventually building business development and account management capability with direct responsibility for revenue.
