Who We Are We help men save their marriages through online coaching that gets results, often where traditional counseling hasn't.

The Role We are hiring a Senior Direct Response Marketer to own the message everywhere it appears at an eight-figure men's coaching company: the ads, the VSL, the funnel pages, and the email.

Our historic winning ads don't perform as they used to, and the new winners bring in lower-quality leads. We are running a marketing turnaround under a new Head of Paid Marketing, and this is the seat that writes it.

Responsibilities

Market research and ideation
Writing copy for ads, the VSL, funnel pages, and emails
Managing the editing team
Reviewing the analytics and iterating on what the numbers show
Keeping all copy within ad platform policies

You'll report to the Head of Paid Marketing and work closely with the founder.

Must have:

Excellent written and spoken English, at a native or near-native level
Worked inside a company or offer doing $500,000+ per month in revenue, so you know what volume, speed, and scrutiny look like at that scale
Copy you personally wrote has sold at least $1 million in revenue, and ideally a lot more, with numbers you can show and someone who can confirm them
Within the last 18 months, written direct-response ads, long-form sales copy, and email for a high-ticket offer sold through booked sales calls (ad → opt-in/VSL → application → call → close), with results you can show: cost per call, ROAS, or revenue attributed to your copy
Personally written at least one VSL, webinar script, or long-form sales letter that served as the main sales asset for an offer at scale
Written Meta ad copy at volume, week after week, and tracked which concepts won and why
Email marketing expert: daily broadcasts, sequences, deliverability, and revenue attribution, not just open rates
Directed video editors or designers from a written brief through to the finished creative, and held the standard on the final cut, with examples
Done real voice-of-customer research (sales-call reviews, customer interviews, reply mining) and turned it into copy
Operated in a compliance-sensitive vertical where ad copy could get an account restricted
At least 3 hours a day of overlap with European working hours
Able to commit full-time to this role, without other clients, retainers, agencies, or freelance work alongside it

A real understanding of what couples go through when a marriage is in crisis, whether from personal or professional experience
Experience in relationship coaching, personal development, or a similar niche, plus ideas you'd want to test for a marriage offer

What You'll Be Doing

Ads. You'll write new concepts and iterations based on the angles and customer profiles the Head of Paid Marketing sets. That includes high-income professionals (business owners, executives, engineers, doctors, finance people), the broader market, the analytical "engineer" type, testimonial ads, mechanism ads, and ads for different awareness levels. You write the scripts and the primary text. Each concept comes with a hypothesis, a target avatar, and your reasoning, and before you share it, you ask yourself one question: will this actually work? It's a high-volume role, with a steady flow of new concepts and iterations every week, scripted and briefed by Wednesday.

Creative direction. You'll manage the video editors. You write the briefs and shot lists and show them what good looks like. They edit, and you make sure the final ad is right: pacing, the hook, captions, visuals, music, formats, and whether it still says what you wrote. You approve the final cut before it goes to review. You'll also brief our spokesperson for recordings (script, hook options, intros) and source, script, and brief testimonial ads, especially with higher-income clients. You keep production moving from brief to finished ad.

VSL and funnel copy. You'll write VSLs from the Head of Paid Marketing's brief, starting with a rewrite of the current one and then new VSLs for specific avatars. You'll also write opt-in pages, sales pages, TSLs, retargeting copy, and the copy for every CRO test. What the ad promises should match what the opt-in, VSL, and emails deliver. From time to time you'll write longer pieces like a webinar or a case study.

Email. You'll send a daily broadcast built on the same angles as the ads and written to book calls. You'll also write the nurture, post-opt-in, show-up, and release sequences, testing one thing at a time. You'll look after email revenue and deliverability, report weekly on broadcast revenue, autoresponder revenue, and which emails booked calls, and share the best ideas with the ads team.

Research. You'll read the sales calls the Head of Paid Marketing flags and the replies to our emails, and keep the objection list and customer language doc up to date. You'll go through the Monday report (cost per call and ROAS by concept) and decide what to iterate. You'll keep an eye on competitor ads and VSLs, keep a swipe file, and share how we can do better. You'll tag each ad as new or iteration and mark it a win or loss after the Friday review, so we can both see your hit rate.

Compliance. You'll write to our claims standard and flag anything risky before review. Ad accounts in our space can be restricted quickly, so the copy needs to sell while keeping the account safe.

AI. We use AI every day and hope you will too, for research, structure, and reviewing your own work. That said, AI-written copy is easy to spot and doesn't convert well, so the writing itself needs to be yours.

What Success Looks Like After 6 months, your ads are bringing in qualified calls at a lower cost than when you started. Your hit rate is tracked and improving. The new VSL is live and performing better than the old one. Email is a growing revenue line you report on every week.

After 12 months, the funnel speaks the customer's language from the first ad to the last email. The creative pipeline runs smoothly at volume. And the founder and Head of Paid Marketing can point to a set of winning ads you wrote.
