Fedorki Performance Systems ("Fedorki"), together with affiliated companies D.C. Snelling Limited and J. Jensen Plumbing & Heating Ltd., forms a growing family of industrial and trade services businesses serving Eastern Ontario. Across our companies, we deliver precision fabrication and machine shop services, construction and contracting solutions, and plumbing and heating services to commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential clients throughout the region.

As our organizations continue to grow, we are seeking a Controller to provide leadership across the finance function and help shape the future of accounting and financial reporting within a multi-entity environment. Reporting directly to ownership, this newly created role offers the opportunity to build processes, strengthen financial controls, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the long-term success of a dynamic and expanding group of companies. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys both managing day-to-day financial operations and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting functions across multiple affiliated companies, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare and oversee entity-level and consolidated financial statements, reporting packages, and key financial insights to support ownership's decision-making.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting frameworks to support a growing multi-entity organization.
Monitor job costing, work-in-progress (WIP), project profitability, and margin performance across fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and skilled trades operations.
Manage inter-company accounting, reconciliations, and cost allocations while ensuring accuracy across all entities.
Provide operational leaders with financial analysis, budgeting support, variance reporting, and performance metrics to improve business results.
Oversee compliance with corporate tax, HST/GST, payroll remittances, WSIB requirements, and year-end audit activities, while maintaining audit-ready financial records.
Lead cash flow forecasting, working capital management, banking relationships, and treasury activities across the organization.
Partner directly with ownership to support strategic planning, business growth initiatives, capital investment decisions, financing opportunities, and financial modelling.
Develop and lead annual budgets, forecasts, KPI reporting, and management dashboards that provide visibility into performance across the group.
Supervise and mentor accounting support staff, while helping to standardize processes and build scalable finance operations.
Support future acquisitions, due diligence activities, and business integration efforts as the organization continues to grow.

Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
CPA designation in good standing.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, trades, or other job-costing environments is considered an asset.
Familiarity with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and inter-company transactions.
Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between company locations throughout Eastern Ontario.
