Original job description

When most people hear the name MNP, they think of tax and accounting. Today, we are much more than that. MNP Digital is helping organizations navigate complex business challenges by combining strategic thinking, innovative technology, and practical execution to drive meaningful transformation.

Make an impact with our Digital team as a Business Analyst with a focus on Hyper Velocity Engineering (HVE). The ideal candidate plays a critical role in helping organizations transform business needs into clear, actionable requirements that drive successful technology and business outcomes. Working as part of multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will partner with clients, business stakeholders, solution architects, and developers to understand business challenges, define requirements, optimize processes, and support the delivery of innovative digital solutions. Leveraging modern AI-enabled tools and delivery methodologies, you will help accelerate analysis activities, improve documentation quality, and reduce time from discovery to implementation. This role is ideal for a business analysis professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, facilitating stakeholder discussions, designing future-state processes, and contributing to digital transformation initiatives.

MNP is proudly Canadian. Providing business strategies and solutions, we are a leading national accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Canada. Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.

What You will Do:

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

Lead discovery workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
Understand business objectives, challenges, processes, and desired outcomes.
Elicit, document, analyze, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate stakeholder alignment, decision-making, and requirements approval.
Act as a trusted advisor between business teams and delivery teams.

Business Process Design & Transformation

Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Design future-state processes that enhance efficiency, user experience, and business value.
Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, decision trees, and business models.
Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and AI adoption.
Support organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Solution Planning & Delivery Support

Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and project teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Break large business initiatives into manageable work packages and user stories.
Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and testing activities.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), requirements validation, and business readiness activities.
Ensure solutions align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.

AI-Enabled Business Analysis

Leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and AI-assisted analysis tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
Use AI-generated outputs to accelerate documentation, research, and requirements development while ensuring accuracy and quality.
Support the design and implementation of AI-enabled workflows and business processes.
Contribute to emerging best practices for AI-assisted analysis and Hyper Velocity Engineering delivery.

Governance & Quality Assurance

Maintain high standards of requirements quality, consistency, and traceability.
Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Support project governance, review processes, and delivery standards.
Contribute to reusable templates, methodologies, playbooks, and best practices.

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications

Experience documenting business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
