Make an impact with our Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) team as a Senior Manager. This diverse team of professionals delivers customized tax strategies within a complex and dynamic regulatory framework. As a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure clients capitalize on opportunities to receive government support for innovation by identifying eligible projects and navigating the multitude of government incentive programs and funding opportunities available.

Responsibilities
- Lead the financial review of SR&ED and tax incentive claims for clients across a broad range of industries in both French and English.
- Work directly with CFOs, controllers and finance teams to analyze financial statements, general ledgers, tax returns and other source documentation.
- Identify and quantify eligible SR&ED expenditures, including labour, subcontractor, material and other qualifying costs.
- Prepare, review and deliver high-quality, well-supported SR&ED claims that are complete, accurate and audit-ready.
- Build strong claim support by gathering, organizing and reviewing financial documentation and evidence of experimentation.
- Manage multiple client engagements at once, keeping projects on track, on budget and aligned with MNP quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, the CRA, Revenu Québec and other tax authorities throughout the claim process.
- Support Québec and Canadian tax incentive engagements beyond SR&ED, including CDAE/TCEB, C3i, multimedia tax credits, clean technology incentives and other select tax credit programs.
- Help grow the practice by identifying client needs, contributing to relationship development and promoting MNP’s broader tax incentive capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a client-service environment.
Skills & Experience
- CPA designation with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English
- Five or more years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, financial advisory or SR&ED/tax incentives.
- Strong ability to review financial information, analyze eligible expenditures and connect technical claim narratives with supporting financial data.
- Experience in a professional services firm is an strong asset.
