MNP’s Consulting practice supports organizations, primarily SMEs and privately held businesses across Quebec, in addressing growth, transformation, and performance challenges. Within Human Resources Consulting, the team delivers practical solutions in HR operations, recruitment, compensation, pay equity, talent management, workplace climate and harassment investigations, and HR compliance. This role offers the opportunity to lead a broad range of engagements, develop long-term client relationships, coach an experienced team, and actively contribute to the evolution of the practice’s service offerings and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR operational consulting engagements, including HR policies and practices, performance management, compensation, labour relations, talent management, and compliance.
- Manage sensitive or short-term mandates and respond quickly to urgent client needs by leveraging the appropriate expertise across the firm.
- Support clients in structuring, optimizing, or managing their HR function to ensure efficient operations aligned with their business priorities.
- Identify and assess client needs and recommend the firm’s most relevant solutions, including pay equity, recruitment, compensation, workplace climate and harassment investigations, and HR compliance.
- Plan engagements, allocate resources, manage budgets and timelines, monitor progress, and ensure project profitability.
- Lead a team of consultants and senior consultants by setting priorities, balancing workloads, and fostering collaboration.
- Coach consultants and senior consultants, provide ongoing feedback, and support the development of their professional judgment, skills, and client relationship management capabilities.
- Review analyses, recommendations, and deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, relevance, and practical applicability.
- Manage engagement-related risks and ensure compliance with the professional standards and code of ethics of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources association, including competence, integrity, professional independence, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and professional secrecy.
- Develop and maintain internal and external business relationships, identify opportunities, contribute to the growth and positioning of the practice, and lead the preparation of service proposals.
- Develop new service offerings and design methodologies, templates, and standardized tools to improve engagement quality, efficiency, and consistency.
- Monitor HR best practices, including the responsible use of artificial intelligence, HR technologies, and legislative and regulatory developments, and translate these trends into practical solutions for clients and the team.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the practice, knowledge sharing, and the development of the team’s collective expertise.
Education and Professional Designations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Active member in good standing of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources association.
- Graduate degree in a relevant discipline is considered an asset.
- PROSCI certification, coaching certification, or another relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
Experience
- 12 to 15 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Minimum of three years of experience as an HR Advisor within an organization.
- Recent and significant client-facing consulting experience is essential.
- Significant experience working with SMEs and a strong understanding of their operational realities and practical HR needs.

- High level of risk awareness, ethical judgment, and professional rigor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, enabling effective collaboration with English-speaking partners and stakeholders.
Working Conditions
- Minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Availability to travel as required by client and engagement needs.
