Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and end users to understand business processes, business problems, objectives, challenges, and opportunities
- Utilize knowledge of the business problem to help to shape the solution approach and help develop a sound technical outcome
- Evaluate technical approaches and make recommendations that balance business requirements, user experience, performance, security, maintainability, and cost
- Leverage modern development tools and AI-assisted technologies to enhance productivity and accelerate delivery across the software development lifecycle, including solution design, coding, testing, documentation, infrastructure and deployment
- Apply business knowledge, technical expertise, and sound judgment to validate solution quality, trade-offs, security, maintainability, and alignment with business objectives
- Deliver solutions iteratively, incorporating stakeholder feedback, performance metrics, and operational insights to drive continuous improvement
- Review code, technical designs, infrastructure changes, and development workflows to identify risks and provide actionable recommendations
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members while contributing to the continuous improvement of development standards, practices, and processes
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in understanding business processes, operational requirements, and challenges, translating that knowledge into effective technical and product solutions
- Experience collaborating with end users, business stakeholders, and product teams to understand the problem, validate opportunities, and develop solutions that address business needs
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to assess the impact of technology decisions across business processes, data, integrations, architecture, security, and operational environments
- Ability to critically assess and validate both AI-assisted and traditionally developed solutions
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform is considered an asset
- Production experience with the various agentic AI development tools, including context engineering, iterative steering, and critical verification of generated work
- Extensive experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise software solutions across both backend and frontend technologies
- Strong ability to review and evaluate application code, solution architectures, integrations, and infrastructure designs to identify risks and promote secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions
- Strong experience with .NET Core/C#, Azure, CI/CD, and Angular or a comparable modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework
- Experience implementing cloud infrastructure and automated delivery processes
