About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Intermediate to Senior Revit MEP BIM Specialist with strong experience in construction-focused BIM modeling and coordination.

This is not a traditional engineering design position. We are seeking someone who understands how MEP systems are installed in the field and can develop accurate, constructible, and coordinated BIM models that support construction execution.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP, understands multidisciplinary coordination workflows, and can independently identify and resolve constructability issues involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Revit MEP models for construction coordination, generally targeting LOD 300 to LOD 400 depending on project requirements.
• Model mechanical, HVAC, piping, plumbing, and electrical systems based on design documents, trade information, and project requirements, within the candidate's areas of expertise.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP models to identify spatial conflicts, installation constraints, and constructability challenges.
• Participate in multidisciplinary BIM coordination meetings with general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and fabricators.
• Perform clash detection and support clash resolution using Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Coordinate MEP routing, equipment clearances, access requirements, and installation sequencing.
• Incorporate approved coordination changes into discipline models while maintaining model accuracy.
• Support the development of coordinated construction drawings, shop drawings, installation layouts, and fabrication-related deliverables as required.
• Ensure modeling complies with project BIM Execution Plans, modeling standards, and quality control procedures.
• Coordinate with internal BIM specialists and external project stakeholders to meet project milestones.
• Identify potential construction conflicts early and proactively recommend practical solutions.
• Maintain organized models, clear documentation, and accurate issue tracking.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Revit MEP modeling and BIM coordination, preferably supporting construction projects.
• Advanced working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks Manage, including clash detection and coordination workflows.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, their installation requirements, and their coordination with other building disciplines.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and trade documentation.
• Demonstrated experience developing coordinated, construction-level BIM models.
• Understanding of LOD requirements, model quality control, and BIM deliverables.
• Ability to identify spatial conflicts and propose practical construction-oriented solutions.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear, respectful, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trade contractors.
• Knowledge of fabrication-ready modeling and trade-specific BIM workflows.
• Experience preparing coordinated shop drawings and installation drawings.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), including model sharing and issue management.
• Experience with SysQue or other fabrication-oriented Revit tools.
• Experience with laser scanning, point clouds, and Scan-to-BIM workflows.
• Exposure to commercial, industrial, institutional, or major infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience supporting BIM coordination meetings and tracking issues through resolution.
• Formal education in mechanical or electrical technology, construction, engineering, or a related discipline is an asset. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Salary

$70K to $85K depending on Experience.
