Here, your knowledge, skills, and excellent service will help ensure that the buildings that make up The Project Management role encompasses a wide range of duties, some of which include managing labour, purchasing, administration, cost control, supplier and subcontractor coordination, communication, scheduling, pricing of change orders, financial ownership of your projects, establishing and managing client relationships.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to join the Electrical team in our Vaughan Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively participate and contribute in estimating turnover, project kick-off, and pre-construction meetings.
Plan, coordinate, and manage electrical projects from initial design and procurement through installation, commissioning, and final project closeout.
Support the Project Foreman and site team by developing a strong working relationship and providing project execution guidance, technical support, and direction.
Effectively manage project resources, labour requirements, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to identify scope requirements, potential conflicts, and project risks.
Coordinate with engineers, consultants, general contractors, architects, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective project execution and communication.
Build and strengthen subcontractor and supplier relationships; review contracts and scopes of work, monitor productivity, quality, and costs, and ensure project requirements are being met.
Manage material procurement and delivery to ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available when required to maintain project schedules.
Monitor project progress, schedules, labour productivity, costs, and overall performance. Identify potential delays or issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Complete detailed and accurate monthly financial forecasting, cost tracking, and project status reporting, including monitoring change orders, commitments, and project expenditures.
Participate in project status review (PSR), client, construction, coordination, and site meetings as required, and effectively communicate relevant information to the project team, workforce, and subcontractors.
Review, track, and manage change orders, RFIs, site instructions, and other project-related documentation to ensure changes are properly documented and incorporated into project costs and schedules.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, quality, safety, and compliance with drawings, specifications, electrical codes, and project requirements.
Coordinate inspections, testing, deficiency resolution, commissioning, and final project handover.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, reports, drawings, change orders, procurement records, and closeout documentation.
Identify and resolve technical, field, scheduling, and coordination issues in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure projects comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, contract requirements, QA/QC procedures, and Health and Safety policies and regulations.
Estimate and assist with estimating, tender reviews, scope development, and project budgeting as required.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Electrical Project Manager within the construction industry.
Post-Secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, site plans, building plans, and contract documents.
Working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, construction practices, and project requirements.
Strong understanding of project scheduling, procurement, cost control, change management, and financial forecasting.
Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions, subcontractor agreements, and project scopes.
Ability to successfully prioritize multiple tasks based on project requirements, deadlines, and changing site conditions.
Results- and solutions-oriented individual with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experienced with, and willing to train and mentor, project coordinators, site staff, foremen, and other team members.
A track record that clearly demonstrates effective leadership and professional communication when interacting with clients, contractors, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work autonomously while maintaining regular communication with project stakeholders and frequent travel to project/site locations as required.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software.
General understanding of QA/QC processes, electrical inspections, testing, commissioning, and Health and Safety practices and requirements.
Design/build experience is an asset.
Committed team player with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, designers, field superintendents, foremen, and project staff.
