Facilities Coordinator

Our client in Vaughan is looking for a Facilities Coordinator. They are seeking someone who has been employed with a manufacturing company, dealing with outside contractors, performing basic building maintenance and procuring MRO.

Location: Vaughan, Ontario. 100% On Site

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Vacancy Status: This is an active vacancy

Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Procure and manage Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) materials, supplies, and services while maintaining inventory levels and controlling costs.
• Perform routine building maintenance activities, including minor repairs to facility equipment, lighting, fixtures, doors, HVAC-related components, and general building systems.
• Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with company standards.
• Conduct facility inspections and respond to maintenance requests to ensure a safe, clean, and operational manufacturing environment.
• Support preventative maintenance programs, facility improvement projects, and health, safety, and environmental initiatives throughout the plant.

Minimum Requirements

• College diploma or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Maintenance, Building Operations, or a related field. A trades license will also be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in a facilities, maintenance, or building operations role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience purchasing MRO materials and working with industrial suppliers.
• Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.
• Ability to safely perform light maintenance work and coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
