Original job description

Modular Finance delivers tools to the financial industry with the aim of creating efficiency and transparency in the capital market. We are a bootstrapped, majority founder- and employee owned company serving over 1,000 listed companies. Following strong growth and now being proven leaders in the Nordics and the fastest growing provider in the UK, we are expanding into North America and looking for an Account Executive to join our founding NA team. In this role, you will play an instrumental part in establishing our footprint in North American financial markets.

About the position

This is an open position as Account Executive in a new market, you will work primarily to win new customers, but this also includes up-selling to existing customers. In this role, you will interact daily with CEOs, CFOs and IR managers in listed companies.

Your main duties:

Responsible for the entire sales process - from prospecting, sales meetings, negotiation and closing the deal
Establishing strong and long-term relationships with decision makers in listed companies
Managing internal and external projects, independently and collaborating with others

To succeed in this role you need to have:

Proven experience in a customer-facing role in a fast-paced B2B environment (mid-market motion)
Experience managing relationships with both mid-level and C-level stakeholders, and comfortable with cold calls, email, and LinkedIn outreach
Excellent communication and presenting skills in English
Genuine interest in the stock market and finance industry

You will have a lot of freedom to plan your days, so to be successful you need to be driven, structured and disciplined. We value colleagues who want to collaborate to achieve their own and the company's goals.

What we offer

We are growing quickly and therefore for the right person there are fantastic opportunities for career development
A startup environment within a proven growth business with best-in-breed offering
Competitive salary (non-commission), robust Canadian benefits package, retirement savings support, and generous PTO.
Meaningful equity upside through part ownership in Modular Finance via the Management Incentive Plan. As the company is successful and growing rapidly, this ownership could yield significant returns upon hitting our goals

Form of employment: Full time

Start date: In agreement

Location: Toronto

We apply a hybrid model with the majority of the week in the office.

Note that your employment is conditional upon you being legally entitled to live and work in Canada.

About us

Modular Finance delivers software and data to players in the financial industry with the aim of creating efficiency and transparency in the capital market. We are a stable, fast-growing, and entrepreneurial SaaS company with over 100 employees. This means a fast pace, significant responsibility from day one, and great freedom to shape your own role and development. At Modular Finance, we are motivated by customer value, the opportunity to take initiative, and working in an environment where a lot is happening! New colleagues also get the opportunity to buy into the company and be a part of our continued journey.

At Modular Finance we believe that diverse teams build the best products. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels they belong, regardless of their race, religion, colour, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or disability. We evaluate all applicants on merit and business needs.

We also believe in removing barriers to opportunity. Modular Finance is committed to providing accommodations throughout the recruitment, assessment and selection processes in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act and the Human Rights Code. If you require accommodations during the application and hiring processes, please notify us and we will work with you on suitable accommodation(s), to the point of undue hardship. If you need any adjustments or support during your application or interview, please let us know at isabelle.alderbrant@modularfinance.se

AI and Hiring

At Modular Finance we believe AI helps us work smarter - but it never replaces the human assessment and personal connection that define our culture and our hiring. We use AI as a sparring partner. We bounce ideas, bring new perspectives, support structure, and make our work more efficient. But the decisions and interactions always come from people. AI strengthens our work, but it does not define it.

Welcome to apply!

The selection will take place continuously, so don't wait with your application. For questions about the position, you are most welcome to contact Johannes Wellmann, Head of Sales, at

johannes.wellmann@modularfinance.se.

We will respond to all applications.
