Available Shift:

At Day & Ross, our dock team, is an important part of our business. As a Dock Worker, you’ll help us handle inbound and outbound customer freight and protect it from damage. You'll also help us keep a safe and clean work environment on the dock.

How You’ll Help:

Handle big and bulky freight on the dock, both on and off a forklift.
Follow TDG, WHMIS, and company policies, as well as any customer requirements.
Pay attention to the details. Receive and ship freight accurately and efficiently.
Other duties as required.

Your Skills & Experience:

High school diploma or GED
Previous transportation or dock experience is preferred
Willingness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision
Forklift Certified
French is required for internal communication with terminals across Canada.
Class 3 would be considered an asset

Chez Day & Ross, notre équipe de dock est une part importante de notre activité. En tant qu'ouvrier portuaire, vous nous aiderez à gérer le fret entrant et sortant des clients et à le protéger contre les dommages. Vous nous aiderez également à maintenir un environnement de travail sûr et propre sur le quai.

Comment vous allez aider :

Manipuler de gros et volumineux fret sur le quai, à bord ou en descendant d'un chariot élévateur.
Respectez TDG, WHMIS et les politiques de l'entreprise, ainsi que toutes les exigences clients.
Faites attention aux détails. Recevoir et expédier le fret avec précision et efficacité.
D'autres tâches selon les besoins.

Vos compétences et votre expérience :

Diplôme d'études secondaires ou GED
Une expérience préalable en transport ou sur les quais est préférée
Volonté et capacité à soulever jusqu'à 75 lbs.
Capacité à travailler efficacement avec peu ou pas de supervision
Chariot élévateur certifié
Le Français est requis pour la communication interne avec les terminaux à travers le Canada.
La classe 3 serait considérée comme un atout
